This baby’s hair is flying. We’re racing to thank Frank from A Frank Angle before his blog break.

Let me start at the beginning, in the past, as shown below in an olden days Corktown image.

The car above is to the left of the streetcar mural, and part of the mural in its entirety. (Thank you sun for the interesting shadow).

However, as I close in onto the elements within this impressionistic work of Street Art, I don’t care about the shadow, or the heavy traffic whipping by.

It is an alluring piece of art, and perfect to thank Frank for his contributions to Kids’ Month.

Look at these 2 cute doggies!

In this mural, the child is a local Corktown kid. However, a kid that will steal your heart is found at the Cincinnati Zoo, in Frank’s post On A Special Local Kid.

A new beauty has appeared in an alley in Kensington Market.

There is no place in Toronto where Street Art is held to such a street standard, yet, this past winter in Kensington saw a throw up devastation like no other.

Very few pieces were left untouched. She is one of the survivors.

There are only 2 roses in this mini-mural by Mike Johnston, but I took a bouquet of pics.

Benji & Ms. Zulu Host “A Vegetable Garden”

“Hi this is Benji and Ms. Zulu. We were asked by Resa to host the vegetable garden mural for Kid’s Month.”

“This is quite an honor and we are happy to assist. Of course we are hoping to get a tasty snack for our modeling work.”

“As you can see, I used to be very small.”

“Humans are omnivores and need to eat lots of veggies and fruit.”

“Dogs are canines and we love veggies and fruit, just be sure not to feed us the wrong kinds, see Vegetables & Fruits Dogs Can & Can’t Eat”

“After eating lots of healthy dog food, I got as strong as a lion.”

“Ms. Zulu is already 11.5 years old and has helped put in many vegetable gardens.”

“She taught me that you need to dig a whole lot if you want to plant vegetables and fruit trees in your garden.”

“I like to help her with it. It’s hard work but we don’t mind because the fruit of this kind of labor is sweet.”

“I love to sniff the plants and trees in the garden; they all have a different scent. I often see bees, butterflies, and even hummingbirds on the flowers.”

“I recently learned that these are important pollinators. Without them we would not be able to grow most fruit and vegetables.”

“Pesticides kill pollinators and are bad for us too; that’s why we don’t use pesticides in our backyard. Better be safe than sorry.”

“Here we are in front of a banana tree, showing the fruit as well as carrots. There are lots of vitamins in the bananas and carrots. The good news is that these are so tasty that we enjoy eating healthy in between meals.”

“So let’s dig and plant some fruits and veggies!”

The garden is so happy that you came to host, that the Onion, Potato and Robin have formed a band and are writing a song for you.

Giraffe by Birdo

I found this Giraffe on Sunday. It was the Birdo I needed for Kids’ Month.

The entire mural feels like world of fun & toys.

I imagine this is a magic sock filled with creative ideas and projects.

The best is that it’s in a crevice in an alley where kids live and garbage is kept. This mini-mural works so well, the trash bins go almost unnoticed.

No one brightens cement city like Birdo!

Coyote & Grizzlies

Who goes there? Wolf or a coyote?

I’m a coyote, but I’m practicing to be a wolf.

Whoa, just hold on there!

I’m pretty sure once a coyote, always a coyote. Check out Cindy Knoke’s pictures of coyotes that she took! Click on the pic, and it will take you to her coyotes.

I changed my mind. I’m a wolf! Yip, bark, arooo, yip.

Not so fast little buddy! I’m going to ask my cousin Wilbear. He lives on a shipping container across town.

Howdy Beary! I’d say he’s a coyote.

Well, maybe you guys aren’t Grizzly Bears?

As sure as you and Beary live in the same mural, Beary and I are grizzlies. I’d like to add if people click on the mural above, they can see how splendid it is.
