In February, 2014, a team of Canadian Women won Curling gold at the Sochi Olympics. In March of 2017 Christy Birmingham wrote “Wolf”, for Kids’ Month.

They all inspire me.

So, let me introduce you to everyone, starting with the winning curling team.
Jennifer Jones – Skip

Kaitlyn Lawes – Third

⭐ For those of you not already familiar with Christy Birmingham, here’s Christy! ⭐
Thank you Christy for writing “Wolf” for Kids’ Month. It meant a lot to me! I’ve always enjoyed your writing talent and your blog, Poetic Parfait.
When you began your second blog, When Women Inspire, I discovered a place of sisterhood, that I love to this day!
Christy is busy
penning her first novel. In the meantime, she has 2 books of poetry on the market.
Click on either cover and you will be taken to where you can buy a copy!
The Artists of the mural:

Not being familiar with the girls, Resa, I went a googling to find some images, and wow, the artists Mandy and Michael have done them and themselves proud. What a great find!
As for Christy; what a fantastic young woman she is.
All the very best, Christy, with your new writing venture. You can’t help but create something special… 🙂
xoxoxo
They are amazing artists. I wish I had more time to work on my blog. I have a LOT more to update in the Artists section and RIP. I’m supposed to be updating my website for work. Funny how the blogs have become more important. 😀
I adore Christy and her work. It was a real treat having her pen a poem for Kids’ Month! Much love to you, Carolyn! xoxoxo
Resa ❤ How wonderful that you spotlight each woman whose image is in the spectacular mural 🙂 Canadian women rock – literally, in this case! Your spotlight on me at the end is beautiful ~ thank you for the thank you post ❤ xxoo
Thank you, Christy.
You are right. Each woman deserves her own spotlight within the glow of the team. It means a lot to me that I got to know each one, at least from a distance.
Lol, it’s so great that when we say “rocks” we mean “rocks”.
Christy, you deserve spotlights, as your work draws in “rocks”. 😀 ❤
xoxo
Hi dear Resa 🙂
You’ve changed this theme as well. Good idea keeping the same theme for both blogs as it must make things so much easier for you.
I love to watch Curling. So tactical ! It’s the only winter sport I put myself out to watch on TV. I must try curling my cats ! 😉
Big hug. Love Ralph xoxoxo ❤ #<
I’ve been thinking about curling your cats for a few days now.
Would you simply slide them on the ice & hope they make the center dot (which will have a piece of fish on it) OR, will you be giving them perms…. you know, so they look like some kind of exotic curly fur species of cats?
Well, just curious, much love, Resa xoxoxo ❤ <#
That’s a great idea my friend. Problem is that there is no ice here except in the freezer, but I do have smooth wooden floors. Maybe I could spin them around at high speed when they are laying on their sides on the floor sunbathing. Then, with a broom, curl them down the hallway. As well as enjoying myself, the floor will be polished. The cats might even enjoy it and end up as exotic curly fur species of cats at the same time 😉
Big hug. Ralph xoxoxo ❤
Hahaha! Floor polishing…. poor little kittens! Although , if you could pass them off as exotics, they might be worth a few $$$. 😀 😀
What am I saying? I love cats so much, I’d probably be the one polishing the floor. while the cats enjoy themselves. ❤ xoxo <#
I agree ! I wouldn’t really use my cats as curling stones as I love them so much as well. ❤ xoxox
I so enjoyed this glowing tribute of the Olympian Curling Team, Resa. Leeuwen and St. Hilaire did a terrific job of highlighting these winning athletes. And a wonderful nod to Christy as well. Great post!
Thanks Jet! The mural is very impressive. So is Christy. 😀 😀
