Found this on a closed restaurant’s patio.
I adore the face.
It makes me think of the sun.
The rest of the mural….????
That does not look like authentic writing.
Here’s some writing, aka burners or lettering.
Says – In Sight
Says – Breathe
Says – Poser
Says – Putin Go Fuck Yourself, in Ukrainian
Says – Tensoe
What does below say? I’m not buying it!

That definitely is a sun face, you’re right! Lovely mural, dahling!
ps. I’m glad you added the ‘translations’! 😉
Love this face. The burners bother me. They seem insincere.
I love that sometimes I can read writing!
I can’t read Ukrainian 😉, but Sweetman told us what it says. Finally, getting somewhere!
With you!!!! 😉
and …. kisses from you know who!
yep, that means sponges out!
Sigh! Now John felt sorry for me (he has 2 slobbery kisses dogs) and sent some clean up emoji. LOL!!!
I love that face. The expression is like “Oh brother. Here I am among the normal scribble.”
Yes, normal scribble!
I’ll have none of that! xo
I do adore Sun Face!
I like the expression on that sunny (peachy?) face also. It seems like it is saying “what AM I doing here…I really must think about moving.”🚚
I like peachy! Works.
Lol…she’ll need an artist to help her move! 😉
I have no idea what is being said around Sunface. I hope you will answer the riddle.
That’s just it, I can’t read it. Well, seeing as how it’s on a restaurant, it might be the name of the restaurant. Looks amateurish.
Hey, check out the chit chat between Marina and me. You’ll see where the wet sponges come from! xoxo
I saw the, Here’s my contribution. 🧽🧽🧽🧽🛀🛀🛀🛀🧽🧽🧽🧽🛀🛀🛀🛀🧽🧽🧽🧽🛀🛀🛀🛀🧽🧽🧽🧽🛀🛀🛀🛀
Thank you! It’s a big mess over here!
The emoji attack, drool…I’m beside myself! xoxoxo
Get in one of the tubs. There’s a different bath bomb in each. (Don’t ask me to name them)
Ohhh, you mean like …scented bombs? xoxo
Yes, like scented bombs. 😁
Aww, thank you! xoxoxoxoxo
Oh wow, look at those eyes! I’m reminded a little of Betty Boop or maybe Harlow. Lovely walk art dear Resa xoxoxo 👯♀️xoxoxo
YES! Betty Boop is perfect.
Remember my Jean Harlow try?
That’s a gorgeous print Meece. Is there anything you can not do beautifully? NO!
Imagine a post on prints of the golden age movie star goddesses, wearing gowns you’ve chosen for them … just what you need… more projects. My imagination is running wild. xoxoxo
Imagine away! Golden age movie goddesses is a great idea. Now that sounds fun to draw.
Gowns for the AGMs inspired by Gloria Swanson, Theda Bara, Claudette Colbert, Greata Garbo, Carole Lomabard (died in a plane crash at 33 years old!) There are many…perhaps a Mary Pickford!
I thought of Betty Boop or Clara Bow, too–it’s the little bow mouth and the thin eyebrows, as well as the expression.
YeH, she’s really a cutie.
Betty Boop is all head, teeny body. So cute!
Clara Bow is a beauty. I wonder if Betty Boop was designed off of Clara’s image. I’ll research that.
I remember we discussed this on another post. 🙂
Seem to remember that, Too. Apparently Clara was part of the inspiration! 🙂
I agree with House of Heart about the reminder of Betty Boop. Such a rosebud mouth. 🙂 I think the rest says to just enjoy the face and the colors. But what do I know? 🙂
Agree on the Betty Boop!
The face is fab, but the writing seems fake.
Writing goes back to the 70’s, as far as I know. Maybe the 60’s in NYC subways.
If I hadn’t seen so many amazing burners in my street art experiences, I might not care.
So glad you are enjoying the face and the colours! 😘🥰
A very exotic sun face yet innocent. I saw a spider web.
Yes, there is a web. The face is quite adorable. I like it lots!
Hello Resa, I too got Betty Boop vibes from this portrait – it’s those eyes and mouth that do it. Regards the text, not sure what that says but I regularly see artwork like it on the railway wagons that pass through my town carrying fuel pellets to a local power station. The wagons make for very large “canvasses”!
Betty Boop has been a popular response.
Lots of tagging on rail cars here, but very little art.
I consider writing/burners to be art. I love them!
Love your eye for art Resa. My favs – sunface – sans the scribble, and ‘I can’t breathe’, oh, and of course the Ukranian translation one! Hugs ❤ xxx
We have great street artists in Toronto!
The I can’t Breathe was done after George Floyd and the artist community had a paint off for BLM in Graffiti Alley. Nick Sweetman and some pals did the Ukrainian mural. It’s a beautiful work, also in Graffiti Alley.
Oh how fab. I’m going to check out the link now. I knew the I can’t breathe stemmed from Floyd, so poignant in so many ways. ❤
I love her beautiful face, Resa, though she looks a little wistful to me. And I have no idea what the scribble says. I imagine there’s a message in there somewhere. Did you ever pique my curiosity! And thanks for deciphering the other murals. I’m all for the Ukrainian one!
Wistful makes sense to me.
There could be a message. It might be faux writing. Check out the Ukrainian mural. It’s gorgeous! https://graffitiluxandmurals.com/2022/03/10/putin-go-fk-yourself/
I did. That was a beautiful mural, and I loved graffiti alley. It really called me in.
She’s gorgeous whatever she is saying…. x
Thank you dear Shey! xoxoxo
Sometimes the mural sayings are hard to read. Or translate. Kind of a sad face I think.
Some think it’s sad too. Still it’s quite sweet! Thank you, JT!
I’m trying to figure out the expression on her face… Sad, thoughtful, or simply trying to figure out how to be the amazing sun every day? Hard to say… but beautiful nonetheless xx
It is a great face. I do like the other “word art” you posted, but can’t see this one well enough to even venture a guess.
Thank you for pointing that out Trent!
It’s my bad. My philosophy is not to be too, opinionated, let people make up their own minds.
I should have taken decent pics of the writing, like it or not. It’s only fair.
I went against myself. Won’t do it again!
It wasn’t really a complaint, so no worries 🙂 I can’t say how many times I look at photos I have taken and realize that I forgot to get some of the important ones – we see things different in the moment than in hindsight.
Thoroughness is required. I know you weren’t complaining, but I was complaining to myself! LOL
Does it really matter, still looks cool
Yeah, it looks cool.
Does it matter, no.
I’ve built up preferences over the years, but I still post art that does not speak to me personally. It speaks to someone.
sweet, sweet face
You find the best murals, Resa!! Shayna Punim!!!
Yes! Shayna Punim!!! Right on, Rebecca!
I couldn’t read any of that writing! My immediate impression of the face was the moon–even thought she’s sun-colored.
Moon face makes sense, too.
I love that different people see alternative impressions to mine! 👍
That what makes art (and life!) so interesting!
Absolutely beautiful. Fabulous colors and art. Love it.
Lots of fun, thanks Gi!! xx
I love her expression! You definitely come up with some great finds, Resa!
I can hardly wait to go out searching again! There’s some good walking weather coming up, as soon as it stops raining.
What a little beauty, tucked into the urban wilderness like a surprise gift.
Definitely a surprise piece of lovely in the city! I was very happy to find her! xx
I love the Sun Face, Resa — all the colors and detail and whimsy. What a terrific find. You framed your photos perfectly. Splendid! Thanks very much for sharing it with us. Hugs on the wing.
Thank you, Teagan! HUGS flooding back.
the sun at sunset already looks like dreaming! Nice mural. Thanks, Resa.
“Here comes the sun”… 🎶
Yes!!! xo 🌞xo
wow, this is such a very beautiful complex of suset expression….
I love that face too! It’s captivating.
She is a beautiful, yet sad face. Must be all that stuff around her that has her wishing she was elsewhere.
I’ll add my sponges to help! 🧽🧽🧽🧽🧽🛁🛁🛁🛁
There is a melancholy, for sure.
Thanks for the sponges! I need all the help I can get! 🧽🧽⚡️💥🧽🧽
OMG I found a huge pod of street art today. I’ve got to go back on a cloudy day!
And my pleasure. We, your peeps, are here to help!
And oooohhh… Can’t wait! ✨👸
Thanks Thunder! It looks like Sunday will be cloudy. I’m going to try then. Can’t go on a sunny day…. shadows everywhere! xo
I get it my friend… Too much sun, no good for picture-taking!
Well, it seems to me, that sun face is not really a happy one…
Stay safe, dear Resa!
Many have said that. Well, I found more art today! You stay well, dear Martha!
I’ve recently found a lot of real good streetart in Vienna. I will post about it on Monday.
Oh, That is exciting! I will definitely be by!!!!
HI Resa, I don’t know what the words say, but I agree that the sun face is beautiful. I love the soulful eyes, they are very well done. Have a wonderful new week.
