Skating with Uber 5000

The Toronto Maple Leafs are 2nd in their division. YAY!

Uber’s Chicks are getting in on the action.

This mural was on a south facing wall in Graffiti Alley.

Anyway, turn the corner of the building to the east side, and there is a full out skating mural, with all of Uber’s pals.

I originally viewed the unfinished mural and met Uber 5000. I did a meantime post titled ⭐️I Met Uber 5000 and He Took Me Up in His Scissor Lift ⭐️

Above is the lift on the day I went in it, massive thrill! There are black lights installed over the mural, which come on at night.

I still haven’t been back to that part of the city at night to see the mural in all of its glory. I’m there often in the daytime.

All in all, a very fun and wonderful work by Uber 5000.

Below: Uber 5000 at work.

There’s even a Zamboni Chick keeping the ice smooth.

The colours in the word “Toronto” must look amazing at night under the black lights.

🌟Many Thank you’s to Uber 5000 for this marvellous mural, and for making me feel like $1,000,000! 🌟

Chicks, Beers & Cheers

Aquileana commented how cute the chicks toasting with beers on “More Paint” post are, and she’s right! They are adorable.

I made the mistake of going on a Sunday. The alley was filled with tourists, all taking pictures.

I had a hard time focusing on my shots, especially waiting for no one to be walking by.

Uber has done a piece promoting St. John, New Brunswick, Canada. It is a wonderful Canadian city on the Atlantic coast.

Uber 5000’s chicks & other animated characters are very popular there & here.

You can see there is an entirely different Uber chicks mural around the corner. That’s still coming, a few posts from now.

Cheers to Aquileana, and all!

⭐️I MET UBER 5000 & HE TOOK ME UP IN HIS SCISSOR LIFT⭐️

It was a very tasty day in Graffiti Alley.

Of course this is not Uber 5000. It is Doctor Evil.

However, he must have had something very tasty.

This is Uber 5000. I’m in the lift taking pics. I have a better one, but I’m saving it for when I do the actual post of the mural, which was in progress.

Uber 5000 at work

When Uber invited me up & in, I was thrilled beyond words. Then he said, “let’s see how high this goes!” WOW! We went up to the fourth story. There was some art I had only ever seen a sliver of from the ground.

Uber 5000’s scissor lift/paint storage

Then he told me UV lights had been installed over his mural. That was why some of the colors seemed stronger than usual. This mural will glow in the dark. There are 2 more day-glow murals being installed in the city, and I know where they are.

I knew I had to leave him to his work. I snapped a few more new bits in Graffiti Alley on my way out, including Dr. Evil.

I felt blessed!

When I visited  Uber 5000 website, I realized he had done a Jimi Hendrix mural I had covered. Click on Jimi’s pic to visit the post.

I will be updating the post, as I did not know who the artist was at that time. I will also be adding an Uber 5000 page to the “Artists” pages.

Never in my widest dreams did I think I would get to capture the above piece. Thank you, Uber 5000!

Uber Cats w/Turtles & Dogs

This is the last post from the Humane Society wall.

Artist: Uber 5000

To the right of the orange cat playing with a ball of blue yarn (as you look at the mural) are 2 turtles.

Artist: Uber 5000

Seems the turtles have bad eyes, or are they wearing glasses because they are shallow fashion turtles?

Artist: Uber 5000

To the left is an orange cat who plays with an orange ball, and a black cat.

There’s nothing like 2 great big kitten heads in a row!

Cute or what?

This must be mom, because she is protecting the kittens from a dog and a bird.

Uber Lagomorpha & Rodentia

Rabbits are uber-smart, and it’s not just because they wear glasses.

Artist: Uber 5000

Sometimes it’s because they don’t want to wear glasses. (vanity reasons)

Artist: Uber 5000

Rabbits will be rabbits.

Artist: Uber 5000

However, squirrels and chipmunks often wear watches (Thank you Carolee)

Whereas rats prefer donuts.

They also mesmerize you by running on a wheel.

Hey, Mr. Wapojif !  I could be a hamster. Look how cute I am!

Uber Dogs

Not the first dog, as I walk off the bridge, but what a beauty.

Artist: Uber 5000

This mural is too, long for 1 pic, or even 1 post, so I put the mural in order, left to right. When you walk off the Queen St. bridge at River, find a skateboarding dog!

Artist: Uber 5000

He follows a White & Black dog.

Spring Chicks

The first day of spring is in a few days, & the Uber 5000 chicks celebrate with art.

Artist: Uber 5000

The painting doesn’t get any higher than this. It is mostly 2 feet off the ground.

Artist: Uber 5000

I tried hunching down low.

Artist: Uber 5000

As you see, getting down on my knees & elbows worked better.

The Chicks are writing!

They are reciting and acting!

They are painting!
