Cutest Raccoon Ever

OMG! I stumbled upon an entertainment plaza made entirely out of shipping containers.

There’s shops for everything, small kiosks, restaurants and a beer hall+, park areas and more. The place has electricity and all the amenities.

There is art on everything! This project is still not finished.

Love this raccoon. Apparently, Toronto is the world’s Raccoon Capital!

Great Performances

I heard of an interesting mural. When I got there, the building was torn down, & new construction underway.

I wandered lonely as a cloud, through high-rises and their lanes.

I turned into a parking lot, and found art performance fame.

High-rises, and the areas they are located in, are not prime street art venues.

Look how high up (about 18 stories) & huge this beauty is!

Did the best I could with my Iphone camera.

Two days later, and I’m still feeling the find.

Not sure how Mike Kennedy passed, but he was young. You’ve seen many of his collaborative projects on this blog. The artists did a wonderful tribute painting to his memory.I will post that in the future.


Perhaps he felt my joy taking these pics, and sent a ray of shine. It’s been very grey and dark since late December.

Today I welcome Resa McConaghy with a guest post on the history of “burn the bra.” Is it a feminist legend? Or a feminist myth instead? In her well-written post, Resa includes discussions of Gloria Steinem’s A Bunny’s Tale, the 1968 Miss America Pageant, the Freedom Trash Can, and more. Oh and that burning bra in the photo above?
