Brazilian artist Paulo Ito s very political with his work. A mural he did of a starving child eating a soccer ball during the The World Cup went viral. Click on the pic below to read a news article on it!
Carolee says: “Also, in the picture of the mouse and the emperor, it’s kind of hard to see in the photo but the threads in the emperor’s coat are actually real!”
“I often walked down this alley when I lived in Sao Paulo. It fostered art installations, capoeira performances, concerts, children playing, people walking their dogs.”
Carolee Croft is a Canadian writer who had been living in São Paulo, Brazil. She has now returned to Edmonton, Canada. She has just released a new novel Ariella’s Rebellion.
Carolee writes novels that are in her own words “I hope not too naughty for your audience”. I find that a tad endearing coming from an admitted fan of Spongebob. You can find her books on Carolee’s Books on Amazon
“The purple-haired sailor was always visible from my window. I will miss her and Brazil!”
Blow up the next 2 pics and see the purple haired sailor better!
“The 3D art is from an alley that’s located at the site of an underground river, Agua Preto, and hosts a community of artists and an environmental group that would like to see the river resurfaced.”
At this celebration you will meet many dogs. You will meet real dogs & graffiti dogs.”
Above is Clay & Ruty. Their mom is Belén Soto & she has a blog, too! Hmm, that looks like a park behind them! Of course, dogs LOVE to go to the park with their humans.
“Many Graffiti dogs, like this St. Bernard, live in the alleys.”
“Some like me, are rescue dogs. (Thank you mommy! ❤️🎵❤️.) The poor little thing below was rescued by Resa’s friend. Buddy was kept in 1 room, never had baths, never went to the park & lived in his own filth.”
“Buddy lives with Resa’s friend now. He goes to the park, gets baths & love.”
‘There is no Year Of The Human. When I see dogs like Buddy (and me before Marina found me) I know why.”
“However, I do wish there was The Year of the Mommies and Daddies Who Love Dogs, Mommies like Marina….. & Belén, where as you can see, there is no shortage of love.”
I want to tell you that you can buy my mom’s art on Marina’s Art ShopMany products with her art on them are available on Society 6 Her music is at Marina’s Music & don’t forget her art calendar on MagCloud
Also, Ruty and Clay want me to tell you that you can buy Belén’s ceramics at Belén’s Tienda
I heard about this Fox & Owl, in the Ossington alley.

I knew where it had to be, so I went there. I came home, unsuccessful, but returned a few weeks later.

I re -did the alley, to no avail. I turned around to go home. Don’t know why, but I looked up. The reason I hadn’t seen it, is that it’s almost 3 stories high.

However, no matter where I stood, I could not get in the entire piece. I tried finding new spots to shoot from. When I got to the end of the alley, I saw a house for sale. There was an open house in 1 hour!

I’m always looking for an investment. Yay! There was a deck on the back of the house!

The Artist:
In 1788 Robert Burns sent the poem ‘Auld Lang Syne’ to the Scots Musical Museum, indicating that it was an ancient song but that he’d been the first to record it on paper. Read the original & modern lyrics!
I’d forgotten about these pics, but A Frank Angle reminded me, inadvertently.

It was a post Frank did on Ordinary People. That reminded me about this street art shot in a parking lot. The shot below is from Frank’s post.
Frank covers the Murals of Cincinnati on his blog. If you check out Ordinary People, you will be in his mural category, and can check out many more delightful works of art. TY, Frank!
