Psychedelic Psilocybin

I’ve only ever posted 3 other commercial murals, street art that is advertising something.

One is a mural on a local restaurant. Jimi and Jimmy, is an inside mural in a local coffee place. The third was a SONY ad for Camila Cabello’s album “Liar”. There is some sneaky street art around, looks fab, but then you notice a logo on a bag, t, or box somewhere in the piece.

This one, in an alley by a parking lot is advertising “Beatrice Society Inc.” I didn’t know what that was when I shot this. However, I love faces, and am fascinated by the technique.

It is on a dense screen, in 2 halves. Upon second & third looks, I could see brick and windows through it.

Of course I looked it up when I got home. It says“Your Trusted Source for Navigating the World of Alternative Therapies & Functional Adaptogens”. One article is titled “The Science of Treating Brain Injuries With Psilocybin”. They seem to use a lot of mushrooms, psychedelic plants and fungi.

Should you want to see the 3 other fake street art pieces, use the categories scroller  near the end of the bottom footer, and select Commercial Murals.

Jimi & Jimmy

I have only posted one other piece of what looks like street art, but it’s actually advertising something.

Obviously this mural is advertising Jimmy’s Coffee. Jimmy’s Coffee is a local Toronto business that began in 2009. It has several outlets now.

It’s a well done black and white mural, with the coffee cups in bright yellow. I am presenting the mural both as is, and through different filters.

I like the all black and white best.

The portraiture looks fab to me!

Jimi Hendrix & Jimmy Page …. 2 fantastic guitar players!

There are only 3 other indoor murals in my collection. Oddly enough they are portraits of famous people. They decorate a pool hall in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Wounded Angel

I went out to find a graffiti Lion’s head. I found it, and more.

I found this angel, and I adore it.

The Lion’s head is FANTASTIC… so, I’m hoarding it for a bit.

I spotted this angel from about 1 block away. It was just a peachy blob, but it was a peachy blob that wasn’t there a few weeks ago.

Further inspection was rewarding. However, research has informed me that this is an AD for Sony Music, for a particular song/album they are pushing. Some ads do use street art style, but we know it is an ad. This piece is masquerading as street art, and I am offended.

I imagine this is made from fresh frozen strawberries & almond milk. In reality, a classic milkshake.
