Look how cute this pup is!
He & his gal are totally together.
She’s cute, too.
Yet, they are the best, together!

I saw a pic and had a rough idea where this was. Still, she wasn’t here, she wasn’t there! She was elusive. It was my last try. Ankle was giving out at hour 2.75.
Above: Taken from up on a fire escape. Below: Taken from the ground. This face is a wonderfully distorted beauty.
She’s guarding a parking lot for a Covid closed tavern. Around the corner is a lot of garbage and rat infested alley. (& I don’t mean rat art… hmm just noticed rat is an anagram of art)
She inspired me to go crazy, shoot her wildly.
Close-up on the ground.
On an angle, from the fire escape.

What a hectic presentation! Reminds me of my life right now, living through loud heavy construction. Timothy Price & I did a parody about it. Hopefully keeping a sense of humour about it all will help me get through it!

Used to be there were lots of rat and skull art in the alleys.
They have gone out of style. Recently skulls are popping up here and there.
I found my first rat in Graffiti Gallery in Winnipeg, when my niece Sherrie was driving me around muralling.
It was near Hallowe’en. The rat was on a pumpkin. I vowed to dedicate all rat posts to her.
Thrilled, I sent her a pic of this rat, immediately! Her hubs said Possum.
I dedicate this post to Sherrie, just in case it’s a rat!

The Rat? Artist:
With help from:
BSM = Body Soul & Mind. (I’ve met him a few times)
IBC – I don’t know.
The writing Artist- InSight (I can read it! He’s been around awhile)
I went on a 4 hour street art walk yesterday.
My bum ankle kicked in at hour 2.5, so I donned my ankle tensor.
Wait ’til you see the Nick Sweetman rat I found at hour 2.25! I think it’s a rat.
Anyway, I was exhausted when I found this stunningly gorgeous planter at hour 3.25. It was so low to the ground, that I sat on a “low rider” step. This way I got a straight on shot.
All the hip people at the coffee window 2 doors down from me, were quite amused. I wear a bottle of hand sanitizer around my neck, so I did a big deal hand sanitizer application for their eyes only.
Their eyes followed me to the opposite side of the planter. I had to capture it, despite oncoming traffic.
I squished myself uncomfortably, between 2 parked cars.
Couldn’t get a dead on, but did my best. Got home, ate and fell asleep. Woke up discombobulated for the day.

LOW RIDER (Tim, do a parody!)
I finally made my way to Graffiti Alley, as my ankle is mostly better.
We are in a Stay At Home Order, so there was not a lot of new art. We are allowed to go for walks. This was a 2.5 hour walk.
This piece of art is new!
It’s paint over paint, paint beside paint and paint to go with someone else’s paint.
So, I don’t know who did this when.
The artist who painted the face, may or may not be who painted the words.
Graffiti Alley is a shrinking network of lanes and alleys in the Queen West area. It’s shrinking to make way for development.
I’ve had some great times here.
I found Gigi in another alley on the way home! Love you, Gi! You deserve to be part of all this sweet and gorgeous alley art!
