Toronto is going all out, hiring many artists to paint power boxes.
This one grabbed me, big time!
At first, the closer I got the better it looked.
Then the farther I got, the better it looked.
I walked away, and realized the other side was just as fabulous!

This mural is a collaboration of Nunavit youth artists and graduates of the Toronto’s Oasis Skateboard Factory.

Winnipeg’s Mural Of The Year – 2015
Risking sounding insensitive; I respect the mural, however, it is not my fave from 2015. I feel it was politically judged, rather than artistically judged. I have felt this, or sometimes that the art and politics are both a recipe for winning MOY. If that is the criterion, then why did the Nellie McClung Mural not win MOY 2016? I adore the mural that won, but it has nothing on Nellie and her gals getting women the vote.

I shot the above Mountie & below, Tam Nguyen who owns the building the mural is painted on.
Tam Nguyen receives his Canadian citizenship.
This is one fierce kitty-kat!
So, as I’m capturing this, a same colored cat woman walks by. Perfect!

World-renowned geneticist, environmentalist, and an awesome Canadian, I salute David Suzuki.
For all of my life, David Suzuki has enthralled me with his TV show The Nature of Things
Now in its 55th season, these weekly documentary programs are still informing, chilling and more important than ever.
It’s not a flashy, or pretty mural. It is simply David Suzuki’s head on a wall in an alley. Yet, I was honored to have found this mural on one of my expeditions.
It’s not a wonder that he has a foundation that supports and promotes the environment. Check it out! David Suzuki Foundation
