Had a hunch, turned into an alley and found a pixie.

I adore this art piece.
The above shot is taken using the Pano setting on my Iphone. However, instead of panning side to side, I turn the camera on its side and pan up from the bottom. Hence, the curve, which I like!
The reflected skyline view in the sunglasses seems reasonably correct. However, one lens is from the lake view, and the other from the land view.
It faces a parking lot. The car reflections come from quite high up, so sometimes are not as crisp, as usual.

There are reflections in the windows on the other side of the parking lot. These windows are about the 6th story.
Look at this gorgeous Monarch with 3 Burners.
Nick Sweetman did the Monarch. He even put a crown on it.
This beautiful, yet heart rending poem is written by the fabulous Holly from House of Heart and reproduced here with her permission.
THE MONARCH
From my swing
I spot the Monarch
sipping from a nectary,
gently I snare him
by his dew drenched wings.
I wonder if he knows
his fate lies in my hands.
Clutched between my fingers
imagine how his heart pounds.

19 years ago, there were clouds of Monarchs during migration season. 5 years ago, I did not see even 1 Monarch. So, 4 years ago we planted Milkweed in the back yard. It is the only plant Monarchs lay eggs in.
I’d also heard that they are attracted to their own colours, and colours of the Milkweed. Ours is green and orange. It took until this summer to get the painting organized. I’m pleased to say that I saw about 50- 100 Monarchs this year.

The wall was constantly being tagged. This is what it looked like before the painting.
The best is; since the Burners were painted…not 1 tag!
This is the 3rd Street Art Poetry door Charlie and I have done together, even though we live 2,520 miles away from each other, and have only met in the blogosphere. MAKE ART NOT WAR
I’ll be closing comments, so head to Charlie’s blog to see the entire presentation & comment.
Our 3rd collaboration in ‘Street art poetry’.
Resa’s interpretation of my words ‘Mermaid’.
The color palette and the eye brings out the beauty in a mermaid.
She gives life to the painting and the words speak for themselves.
The eye of the mermaid sees beyond truth and love.
Resa is a rock star and a talented and wonderful human to us all here on WordPress. Her contribution to the arts is phenomenal.
Without further ado our collaboration! Resa is the best and she really did such a beautiful job.
My vinyl eyes

hot orgasm.
The eerie rose
spilled cryptic commas.
I noticed the mermaid is forming a heart around the words.
The Beautiful Mermaid feeling some sun. 🙂
Miss Mermaid is now in the shade staring right at you to read the poem.
Beautiful colors on this door. The colors blossom brightly. 🙂

I was out of town during the Waterford Walls festival this August, and only recently took some photographs, probably covering only a half of the walls. Here is a link to the previous Waterford Walls blog posts if you need it for a reference. Please visit the artists websites. All the links in this blog open on separate pages and your reading won’t be interrupted.
Yasja’sNorthern lights-inspired work wasn’t included in the festival map, but I knew it was a recent work. I would have noticed if it has been there before. Yasja is a brilliant artist from Amsterdam and I choose her work for my opening picture.
I walk wall to wall, and it takes me about two hours to see all these wonderful murals.
