The Magic Meadow
This Magic Meadow is in Ottawa.
It has a magic tree that sheds light to all who grow under it.
The Mushrooms especially like it, because they often grow in shaded places.
All life is happy in the Magic Meadow.

Michelle from Michelle Eastman Books runs a project every March to bring picture books to children with incarcerated parents or grandparents in Iowa.
You donate a book. The parent or g’parent reads it. A recording is sent along with the book for the child to enjoy.
When I decided to post my kids’ street art, I wanted to dedicate the first post to her very worthy project. The Picture Book Pass It On Logo is at the bottom of this post & will take you to all of the info.
These children worthy photos are from a housing project in Manitoba, Canada. They decorate a murky tunnel kids walk through daily.

From the Guy Maddin film “Tales from the Gimli Hospital”.
This ostrich is one of many from “Twilight of the Ice Nymphs”.
As the director, Guy Maddin, did not want his portrait in the mural, Charlie Johnston represented the director from the rear.
From ‘Dracula: Pages From a Virgin’s Diary’.
A purple eye was inspired from a short film Maddin did on Odilon Redon. Unfortunately, a beer sign was affixed upon it!

Isabel’s character , Helen has had her legs amputated. They are replaced by glass legs.
Set in Winnipeg during the Great Depression, a beer baroness organizes a contest to find the saddest music in the world.
Musicians from around the world descend on the city to try and win the $25,000 prize.
