Cock of the Walk

Yes, it is a colloquial idiom!

the cock of the walk  (British old-fashioned)

A man who acts as if he is more fashionable or important than other people.

1. (informal) a person who asserts himself in a strutting pompous way

Well this cock is strutting around a cityscape and trash bins.

He is quite glorious (sorry for the shadow. It’s the sun’s fault not mine!)

There is also a signature (or 2?) in writing.

Great reflection!

I say the cityscape is Elicser & perhaps the cock is, too. I keep looking at the writing, but it’s hard to read.

    1. I just returned from your Rooster Reflection. It is so positive, and life affirming. I suppose the crowing and strutting are the result of such confidence. Everyone should read your Rooster Reflection! 😀 xoxoxo

    1. Ah! A Rooster pal! I’m a Dragon. 😀 I totally agree, he is gorgeous. I got off the streetcar especially to take his pic, and never got where I was going that day. Lol! I had to have the rooster.

      1. Well worth it!!!!!!! 😉 How wonderful! I love dragons and I would certainly love to be another animal – like the ones I am in the native American zodiac Falcon and Wolf – that’s more like it – not a Rooster!!!! But then I’m inclined to change my mind after seeing your rooster! 😉 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

        1. Whatever you feel dear Charlie. I took a pic of the door I will write it on. Let me send that to you in a few minutes. It is on a major urban street in Parkdale. Everyone wants to live on Queen W. The door is at a streetcar stop, so many will see your words. Much love- Resa xo

    1. He’s a pretty boy! I espied him from the streetcar window, and got off to take his pics. Of course, there was more art just around the corner and up the street. Never got where I was going that day! Lol!

    1. LOL! Of course my Cock of the Walk doesn’t need a comb over. 😉
Fairy Gown was slowed down due to an out of town wedding last weekend.
ALSO, there is a new massive Fabricland. They moved into an old Zellers, which was taken over by Target. Target flopped in Canada.
You know how massive Targets are. There’s an acre of fabric. My friend who has a couturier boutique has a special discount card. I’m meeting her there tomorrow or Saturday. There’s a 2 day special sale and with her card she gets 50% off plus an extra 10% because she’s a senior. It will be my first time going there and my head is spinning.
I’ve got other fabrics sourced for the secondary fabrics, so I will be making my mind up this weekend. This is the hardest part, and even then things can change up to a certain point of no return. Whew! 😀

Speak your art mind!
