From a mural about Canadian director Guy Maddin’s work.
This is Anna. She is a scientist studying the biology of the earth’s core.
The film is a 6 minute short featuring 2 shots per second.
The heart & the cogs symbolize capitalism!

Amazing artistry and symbolism. Thank you for explaining it all so well~
Oh, you’re welcome. I took the shots a year ago, but just found out what it all meant! I’m looking forward to posting the rest.
It’s a great concept for a mural. Of course some bits are more fun than others & I find that the bits are more interesting than the mural as a whole. Nonetheless, an excellent piece.
Interesting, love Anna’s face and you always have info on all these works of art. Looking forward to the rest!
A beautiful face – B&W is perfect for Anna. She is lovely and can’t wait for the rest.
I learnt a lot reading this post Resa. You are not just a pretty face then ? 😀 Big hug. Ralph xoxoxo ❤ #<

It seems the comments go through WP Reader, at least. What beautiful paintings
Hope the annoying comments thing clears up soon!
Charlie’s work is always fab!
I fixed it Resa. I was my Safari browser. I set it on “block cookies” and that was removing some of your site’s features. I now have it on “allow cookies from websites I visit”. So it’s all fixed now and sorry for the confusion.
This is superb, and Anna is like Joan of Arc only better.
Cool, Joan of Arc…. very cool!
Her eyes could tell a story…
Agree! It is very well done!
What an awesome idea to have the artwork based on the short film! Bravo – I appreciated the backstory 🙂
🙂 I’ve seen very little of his work, but I am piqued to see more now!
Ditto, my friend! Have a lovely night xx
