To all my American friends: I know this is a Canadian mural, however, I believe it imparts a spirit of honor meant for all Vets.

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
is that last mural, the poppies of Flander’s field ?
War is a great waste of life, but sometimes evil does exist. And who is brave enough to stop it?
Yes, i would say the poppies in a Canadian piece of art is Flanders Fields, as a Canadian wrote the poem.
However, it is what I have to offer up.
I agree…. WAR SUCKS!
Yet… if not for brave soldiers, who knows where we would be now.
Take care, Bill! ❤
The beauty is, I do believe, it was an American who inspired by the poem, began the tradition of wearing the poppy as an homage!
Hi Resa, this is great. Do you know if it is a mural honoring WWI or II vets?
WWl. Thank you for asking!
Winnipeg is filled with Veteran Memorial murals. I decided to feature this one because it won a “Mural Of The Year” Award. Our Vets deserve the best!
