Just Chilling

I saw this going by on a street car. It was very high up.

Artist: Jarus

Definitely a large billboard size, I wondered if it was maybe going to be a beer ad, but something felt different than advertising.

I returned 3 weeks later, and no, no ad. It’s art, by one of my absolute faves, Jarus.

Extremely difficult to capture with my camera phone.

I adore the sky blue background, the blue shirt several shades a darker sky blue, the blue grey of the painted cement he sits on, and the green trees in the distance darkened by blue. The painting seems part of the sky and of earth, all at the same time.

Driverless Street Art Eco-Car Premieres in Kensington Market

The street artists are very busy this summer!

This car is a big hit! Kensington is a popular tourist destination, and everyone wanted their pic taken beside this. I had to hang around for quite awhile to get my shots.

Also, it’s parked in front of one of my fave murals, which I did a post on 2 years ago. I call it  Kensington Flower Girl. Check it out!

Argentina – Independence Day

On July 9, 2017, Argentina has 201 years to its independence history.

Artist: Cesar Alonso Rodriguez

I felt Argentina when I saw this mini-mural, so I sent a pic off to Aquileana from La Audacia de Aquiles, after all, she lives in Argentina.

Artist: Cesar Alonso Rodriguez

She replied, “YES that graffiti certainly seems to depict Argentina…. Tango… Perhaps milongas ( a tango style).”

It’s like I can hear and feel the music all the way up here in Canada!

Argentina’s National Animal – Cougar or Puma- I thought this looked like one, although the smile is a bit sweet. It is from my collection.

⭐ THANK YOU ! ⭐ Aquileana

Your contributions are fabulous! I have learned more about Argentina in doing this one post, than in my entire life. (except for about Eva Peron)

☆☆ Happy Fourth of July ☆☆

☆☆ Have a wonderful day! ☆☆

I learned that the rose was designated the official flower and floral emblem of the U.S.A. in 1986.

I learned that on May 9, 2016, President Obama signed the National Bison Legacy Act into law. This majestic animal joins the ranks of the Bald Eagle as the official symbol of your country.

Then the farther I got, the better it looked.

“Piliriqatigiingniq is a pillar of Inuit traditional knowledge”

It means to work together towards a common goal.
