Are Three Heads Better Than One?

I was totally dizzy, having crossed a foot bridge over railway tracks.

Descending back to earth with these gorgeous heads all the way down, was cause for more dizziness.

One head is usually enough.

I suppose 2 are necessary, if you’re sharing eyes.

I’ve posted Kizmet 32’s white eyed women, before. This one is the most unique, so far. I’m a fan.

Turquoise Nefertiti

Adore this!

It’s a new painting on a patio down the street from me.

When I got there, a green clothed table was already in place. There was only a couple of angles to shoot, that did not capture some green, or obliterate the face altogether. Oddly, some of my fave shots are the distorted angles I was using to NOT see the green cloth.

I nicely asked the man who was setting up the patio, if he would please move the table for a few shots (about 35) LOL! He was kind enough to do so. I thanked him profusely!

The Artist(s) – not sure, looks like 2 I recognize. Signed:

Two-fer the Road

This is from the side of a power box.

This is the side around the corner.

Together they equal this.

I found this Elvis up the road. It’s painted on an opaque plastic, with kind of tiny bubbles in it.

I’m heading over to Art Gowns to work on a Special! I need to focus, so comments are closed.

Darling Ducks

Dedicated to dear Marina from Art Towards a Happy Day.

I know it must be difficult with the fire raging so close to home, Athens.

I thought perhaps some beautiful ducks would brighten your day, my friend.

Thinking of you and yours!

Also thinking of all who are in the paths of the raging fires!

The pics of this mural were difficult and somewhat dangerous to take. They are in an underpass, with lots of cars going through. Of course I’ve learned to take shots when cars are going past.

I shot from both sides. This side was far away. The other side was like the front row in a movie theatre. Still, lots of art in here. I hopped into the bike lane every now and again.

Jazzical ?

These dancers literally mesmerized me.

Each of the 3 speak with their bodies.

Perhaps they are recreating the flower?

There’s a lot of art here. I did a pano. To the left you see some other art. It’s almost a half block of paintings up to this piece.

On the right, you see a lot of art, and you can see an underpass. The art goes all the way to the other end of the underpass. This is the best, but there are some other pretty great pieces.

Van Gogh

This portrait of Van Gogh is stationed across the street from the AGO. I immediately thought of Rebecca Budd – Lady Budd.

EEK! It kept staring at me, following me. I walked back and forth, thinking the head was being automatically turned. NOT!!!

Check it out! The video is only 18 seconds.

I also shot stills. I thought Rebecca will love this! She is such an arts aficionado, and I mean ALL arts and artists.

Then I thought of Marina from Art Towards a Happy Day, who is an artist, musician and does wonderful posts about classic artists.

Then serendipity happened! Rebecca interviewed Marina about art in a podcast on Tea Toast and Trivia, on July 19. I found Van Gogh on July 19.

I know you’ll love the podcast. Click on the pic of VG above, and go there!

I started at the other side in the 20 second video below.

Fascinated, I went up close.

Turns out the part of the face that follows is an indented sculpture, with some paint on it.

This is the only shot I have of this size close up, in an attempt to show you what I mean of an innie sculpture. LOL, I accidentally cut off most of VG’s left ear. Honest, I did not crop!

B O N U S  ST R E E T  A R T

On my way home yesterday, from another successful Street Art adventure, I looked down at the sidewalk, and there was a spirit of Hera. I think it looks like Hera! Hera is Marina’s sweet puppy dog.
