This is one of last pieces I’ve been hoarding from Ottawa.
Somewhere off Bank Street.
Looking for the artist, I searched the web address on the camera, but no luck!

South of Bloor and Ossington, I thought “I”ll just peek into this alley”.
I got that neat feeling…. I’ve discovered something.
I think it’s an Urban version of things rooted in the beauty of nature.
Slideshow of out-takes. This mural was either painted by “Tokyo” or merely tagged “Tokyo”
IPhone panorama.

“The Great Herd of Clarence Tillenius” is the official title of this magnificent mural at 1881 Portage Avenue.

Painted in 2005, it is a tribute to the Manitoba Artist: Clarence Tillenius. Clarence received the “Order Of Canada” the same week that the mural was unveiled.

It is one of my earlier attempts to capture a large mural

Another wonderful muralling adventure with Sherrie and “The Rocket”

Winnipeg celebrates Canada’s Icelandic settlers, the first arriving in 1873-75, in this gorgeous mural.

They originally settled in Gimili, Manitoba, about one hour from Winnipeg.

Depicted below, the Vikings from Iceland came around 896 AD , but were not able to survive at that time.

Located at 536 Ellice Avenue, this well kept mural was painted in 1999.
Here’s the story!

As mentioned in the above Saga, Charlie Thorson, “Cartoon Charlie” second generation Canadian, became a famous animator responsible for many characters, including “Bugs Bunny”.
