Joy & Peace to All – from: Drake, Sol, Lluvia & Resa

When Drake arrived from Belén Soto‘s in Vigo, Spain, to live with me, he was a punk duck, all cocky and figured he was going to make a successful career as a chocolatier.

Then a very pretty young duck, her name is Sol, won a duck mating challenge. She bravely flew to Toronto, with her egg, against all weather odds.

Sol & her egg arrived in time for Christmas, or as ducks know it, Duckmas!

It was love at first sight for both Drake & Sol. Drake borrowed the money for the engagement ring, from me. Sol accepted his proposal, and they chose a June wedding date.

It was a lush wedding. Sol was the most beautiful bride, ever! I designed her gown. Now, I’ve designed some gorgeous gowns, but this is my piece de resistance.

Although Lluvia had not hatched, she was the Flower Girl

However, Lluvia hatched shortly after, and the young duck family celebrated their first Duckmas together. It was here they announced a new egg, a boy egg.

The family still watches over the boy egg. As we all know, it can take days, weeks or years for a ceramic egg to hatch.

We also wish everyone a 💥 Very Happy New Year 💥 where you reach for the stars and find some.

Year of the Dog – Yay!

At this celebration you will meet many dogs. You will meet real dogs & graffiti dogs.”

Above is Clay & Ruty. Their mom is Belén Soto & she has a blog, too! Hmm, that looks like a park behind them! Of course, dogs LOVE to go to the park with their humans.

‘There is no Year Of The Human. When I see dogs like Buddy (and me before Marina found me) I know why.”

“However, I do wish there was The Year of the Mommies and Daddies Who Love Dogs, Mommies like Marina….. & Belén, where as you can see, there is no shortage of love.”

My sweet family of Ducks created by Ceramic Artist: Belén Soto from Arcilla y Fuego send sincerest warm wishes to everyone, no matter what holiday they celebrate this season. May your joy equal theirs!

The warm holiday lights were turned on, & Lluvia stood under the tree for a picture. A star fell off, & got caught in her bow. It was so cute, Sol took about 1000 photos.

Of course Drake and Sol have over shopped gifts for their special girl, but you can’t blame the proud loving parents!

Even as they introduce baby girl to the world, Sol has decided to send Lluvia to the all girl “Duckademy” for higher flying.

Belén Soto’s Drake Noir Moves to Toronto

Belén of Arcilla Y Fuego sent her Drake Noir to live w/me in Toronto.

He was very nervous upon arrival & hid in the plants .

I took him walking in the alley. The art captivated him.

“Hey mom, look at me! I’m hangin’ in the alleys of TO with Resa! ”

LOL! As this slideshow reveals, we had a great day of muralling!

When we got home, Drake insisted on having shots taken on the floor I painted. He said I was an artist, too!

When I introduced Drake & mini-me, it was love at first sight! Here mini-me models a pin Belén designed. Drake flew over from Spain with it , as a gift for me.
