Have You Ever Seen the Rain,

Coming Down on a Sunny Day?

I spotted this being painted while passing in a street car. I waited 3 days and returned.

The painting was not quite finished, and there was a cherry picker blocking the bottom. It was a sunny day, but I was in a mighty blue mood. Some rain had fallen in my life.

I waited 3 more days, and returned to the yellow and blue painting, like sun and rain, to me. I could heard this song. I had been hearing it for 3 days.

I mailed Holly and told her I found a painted poem. I sent a couple of pics and asked did she have any sun and rain poems? Any yellow and blue poems? She sent 3 poems, and a song.

September Rain

The rains come late; vanilla yogurt clouds deepen to ripe blueberry.
Twirling harlequins of wind sweep upward through the lush crowns of Lindens where birds weave wicker, dried stems, and waxy feathers, dripping pearly dew onto overgrown gardens.
Higher, squirrels shelter in rattan dreys, inky shadows among mottled rays that dance on puddles and glistening blades, the potpourri of life.

~~~ Holly Rene Hunter
One was not a rain on a sunny day poem. Rather, she sent flowers on a sun’s shore.
FLOWER GIRL
Where are you my love?
Chasing shadows along sun swept shores?
Turbulence has exfoliated the rosy blush from my cheeks. When we speak our words drift away on the wind.
If you should change your mind I’ll be waiting by the garden gate flowers in my hair.
It Feels Like Rain
The earthy scent of petrichor clings to our skin,  overflows my eyes,  slips down our cheeks to mingle with  salty lips.
We know how it feels to swim in sun drenched rivers,  to touch the moon and feel the sear of the  sun.
Your song  fills the sky with falling stars.
But mine bring the rain…
I bring the rain.
It feels like rain…
You know it feels like rain.
I GOT TO MEET THE ARTISTS!
CHEERS TO EVERY DAY!
Behind the Song: Suzanne
I’m not sure who the singer was the first time I ever heard the song “Suzanne”, but it wasn’t Leonard Cohen. I adored it. A couple of decades passed before I realized Leonard Cohen wrote the song. Later, I found out it had originally been a poem.
Who better than to fill in more of the gaps, than Holly. A brilliant poet in her own right, she has inspired me greatly.
Scheheraholly II
Scheheraholly is inspired from a poem  written by Holly – House of Heart
It was like “A Thousand and One Arabian Nights”, and Holly was like a Scheherazade.
The day she posted the poem, I had found a piece of alley art that played into the whole idea, especially the second last line.
I named it Sheheraholly. Now, I have found Scheheraholly II
Behind a van on an urban desert sand,
no one can see her eyes through her art.
The amazing violin solo is 2.5 minutes
The Artist:
Tender Places
Beautiful words with a message. Thank you, Holly! ❤️🌹
Tender Places
The small lake shimmers with light
reeds rustle beneath
the feet of a fawn.
Leaning forward her pink tongue
curls backward
spattering the sweetness of life
into her nose and eyes.
Spotted ears pull sideways,
heeding the sigh of the forest,
the breath of a breeze.
The kiss of sunlight transforms
green to autumn gold, brown and rust.
beyond the edge of the wood
summer collides with fall
in  tender places of the wild.
Do No Harm
Street art poetry: Collaboration by Resa and i
This is Charlie Zero’s & my second Street Art Poetry collaboration. We want it to become a movement. There will be a third!
Resa Mcconaghy and I collaborated on ‘street art poetry’.
Her interpretation of my words is an 80’s futurism vibe,
blending psychedelic trance & sci-fi spectrum kaleidoscope colors.
She is a rock star and a brilliant painter/artist/poet/ designer/
& photographer. Much praise to her incredible work and contribution
to the arts and community. 🙂
Without further ado here’s a poem and photography of amazing art.
Unzip the clock –
Inside
origins pulsate.
Every color hatches
a rotten piano.
The Flowers blend in with the art.
Resa, you captured this shot so well. I love it. 🙂
This photo shot is perfect!
All the colors and the words awake the enigma eye.
The hot pink, black, green, & white looks so hypnotizing and spectacular.
The eye is unzipping the clock.
The Monarch Butterfly observing and understanding the poem. 🙂
You Put a Spell on Me
You put a spell on me, now I’m the magic on this wall.
When Torch Singer Rene Rosso saw this captivating wall art, she felt the spell’s magic, and has added the mesmerizing Jay Hawkins song, “I Put a Spell on You” to her repertoire.
One of her fave renditions (of the uber many) is by Joss Stone.
Like the music, the art draws one in.
Rene Rosso and her alter ego Princess Blue Holly, are greatly influenced by Holly – House of Heart
Resa would like Rene Rosso to make the poem – black spell night – by Holly into a sultry Torch Song. Resa has designed the perfect gown (above) to go with it.
Click on the poem, and see the original post!
