1854 Portage Avenue

Long, wide and quite far back to get the high up for this amateur photographer, but finding this airplane is a sweet memory.

This “Post on Pillars” , is dedicated to Sherrie who features “Posts on Posts”.
The above beauty is my fave piece of pillar art. I don’t have a pic of the 1st series all in a row. Nonetheless, here they are 1 by 1.
OT sides are presented when possible.
They’re just off of Bank Street, Ottawa.
Last of the first section.
Here’s the overview of the 2nd half.
This is my 2nd fave piece of pillar art. It’s like fire!
Followed by water.
The End

Take roses from my garden,

Cherries from my cake,

Take all the many kisses that

With a magic moon I’d make…

But don’t dare you the heart
On my garage door break!

Realism in the streets.

It’s at 168 Higgins, and it’s so real Sherrie and I drove by the first time without a second glance. We got it the second time around.

Sherrie and I had a really fun lunch at the “Hard Rock Cafe” then head out to grab a few murals in the hood.
You gotta love this one at “Now” magazine HQ’s!
NXNE is not the artist, it’s a music, film, interactive and comedy festival.
It’s a hard one to shoot. It’s just so big & high, and I had a hard time finding focal points.
So I decided to be as crazy as the mural!

1914 – Charlie Chaplin stayed in this hotel, which is now a scum bucket.
I did a Post on the mural of Charlie Chaplin that resides in the parking lot.

It is a special building with special murals.
Do you think the harmonica player depicted above is Junior Wells?

B.B. King

Robert Johnson

It’s nothing but the blues!

I was fortunate to shoot this “paper doll” of Charlie Chaplin on a balcony, but it was almost a storm when I did. His effigy had blown over.

This 1920’s historical mural is in Islington Village.

It depicts children fishing in Mimico Creek and the underwater wildlife that existed in the creek at that time.
I couldn’t get up onto that private balcony. (rats)

It was painted in 2012.

Find it at 5096 Dundas St. West.
