Birds chirped, sun shone & I climbed down to the river to see this:

.. a total racist defacement of a gorgeous piece of graf. When asked if he wanted to “clean it up”, Mediah, the artist said “no!” Let people see.

Los Corcelles de Neptuno ☆ The Horses of Neptune

Ralph from Bluefish Way has submitted this hypnotic mural.

It’s a Greek Mythological Mural made out of ceramic tiles based on a painting by Walter Crane.

For the Paseo Maritimo in Sabinillas, it is made of over 2,500 tiles.

It was executed by a local Manilva ceramic artist: Conchi Ferrer & her team.

Ralph has sent us an extraordinary mural. I feel so lucky!

Kanos – Cellograff Art

Alex Kanos is from Paris France.

Being a talented graphic & street artist wasn’t enough, so Kanos developed a new art. He has had this art form copyrighted or trademarked. (Can’t remember which)

It begins with scrunched up lengths of cellophane, which are then spray painted first with black. The horizontal streaks are cellophane scrunches.

He then adds color. Here red & dabs of yellow are added to the front.

Finally, purple was added to the back. It shows through to the front. There are other creative applications. Check out Kanos Website to see.

“FESTIVAL” was his second piece, & completed on the 2nd day. The piece he began on the 1st day was cut in half by hooligans during the night. They were caught & slept in jail.

Shalak Attack is my Street Art hero.

Her colors, her attention to detail & her passion are killer.

Not to mention, she is 1/2 of Clandestinos.

Her work lights up my heart & mind, always has.

She was one of the 1st to finish her piece.

That was amazing, as the artists were behind schedule (rain), & I had to leave 2 hours early on the 2nd day. Not all pieces were done.

24 Street Artists gathered to do their thing in Cambridge, Ontario.

They came from around the globe. 12 Graffiti Artists.

11 chalk artists

…and 1 cellograph artist.

White canvases were provided, as the historic city of Cambridge didn’t want artists to paint on the old stone walls.

I get that. Yet, there was plenty of parget wall to paint on. Hopefully, that will happen next year.

I luv that the Artists works were along the river. You all know how much I love reflected Graf!

It rained most of the first day, & was raining when I took the above shot.

On day 1, the rain washed away all of the Chalk Artists’ efforts. On day 2 they worked very hard to make up time that was lost to nature.

Matryoshka

Nesting Ukrainian Dolls = Matryoshka

I wondered why the dolls were all different sizes, and now I know.

Each doll fits inside another, except the biggest, which houses the lot.

The mural is old and flaked, but the colours remain vibrant.

This mural is a beauty.
