Two 2-Faced Faces

With Four – 2-faced bonuses

Not the nicest hole between walls, but these faces lured me in.

With all the trash underfoot, a dumpster and strange fire escape to nowhere, It was difficult to get clear head on shots.

It seemed like it would be fun to mix and match the half faces.

More recently,

..this half face popped up in my hood.

Above is a slideshow of all the half faces on their own. I matched them all different. Now, there are 6 altogether.

Presenting – the 4 mismatched up half heads!

Pics taken by Resa – May 18, 2025 & June 12, 2026

    1. Thanks Robbie!

I was & am still quite intrigued by this art I think the artist was making a statement about – we are all. the same – human – from the same evolution source.

WP seems to have messed up my comments annotator (the bell thing). It could result on my missing comments answers from other blogs. SO, if I don’t reply to something, that is probably why.

      ❦🌹❦

    1. Yes, it is a most piquing mural. It gets one thinking… well me anyway. In a sense, on this planet, we are all from the same, no matter how different we are.
That could have been the artist’s intention.

Btw – have you noticed WP mucking around with the comments annotator?
First – it was different looking. Then they switched it back. Now it’s cutting me off at around 15 … before I can answer them all.

      1. I included a note to that effect in my post for tomorrow. I knew I had more comments, but they seem to be arbitrarily cutting them off. I used to hardly ever see “The End” Now I see it every time I check comments.

  1. I think the contrast between the trash/dumpster and the artwork was wonderful- it gives us the two sides of human nature- alongside he two sides of the different faces…

  2. These are great and you managed to have way too much fun with these, Sorceress! Which is an extra wonderful thing for us, your faithful followers.

    1. Yeehaaaa!
There I go having fun again.
No wonder I love life. And I adore everyone who comes here and shares.
WP is messing around with my comments annotator… so if I miss answering something, esp. if it’s from comments on another blog, …that will be why.
      xoxoxo⚡️💥xoxoxo

      1. Life is beautiful and meant to be lived with joy. You do it so very wel 🙂
WP can be such a pain in the arse.

        xoxoxo 🧚🏼‍♀️🪄 xoxoxo

        1. Thank you, Thunder!
Yes~ and in the elbow, and ankle and wrist, and big toe, and ears, and left nostril and belly button, and funny bone ( which as we know does not make one laugh!)

    1. Thanks Brad!

Mash up… yes, that’s what this is.

Disturbing.. Oh dear! I do not mean to disturb… unless it is provocative in a good way.

WP is messing with my comments notifications. I get 10-15, then THE END. Was not like that before.

SO, if I don’t answer a comment you make, this is why. I do rely on that annotator to try and keep up.

      Hopefully it will correct itself!

  3. Another amazing find, Resa!! The two faces are unique with such interesting colors! You made the creativity shine through in your shots, even surrounded by dumpsters! Happy Friday and weekend!!♥❦❧XOXOXOXO♥❦❧

    1. Thanks Dave!

I agree. This one makes me think.

OMG! An old friend sent me a gift, the complete set of Perry Mason TV shows – 9 years worth. I LOVE Perry Mason.

Perhaps not the most edgy… or most anything, except – The Della Street character has not gotten creds for being an early role model for career women.

She had a cool career, her own money, house (not an apartment…a house), was single (did not have to be married, dating or have a steady bf to be validated), drove, was appreciated by her boss (they were more like partners), great wardrobe and I could go on!

And she was like that when the first book came out in the 30’s.

      IMO… anyway!

      1. Great gift, Resa! There’s some TV-show watching in your near-future. 🙂 And I agree about Della Street! Nice, detailed description by you of why she was an early career-woman role model.

  4. More unique art and something “sportsball” related called the World Cup taking place in your town? ….you’re spoilt for entertainment! I will say after the past six months I’ve had it’s a good job the artist didn’t try and capture my half face (unfortunately both sides have been somewhat angry!). This brightened the day at least though so thanks!

    1. The World Cup is very cool, except for the traffic congestion.

And yes, I am so fortunate. There is a huge exhibition of Impressionist art that just started at the AGO. As an annual pass holder, I have early access. July 2…I’m there!

Glad you day is brightened! Why angry? BE WELL!

      1. Hi again, yeah sorry but things happening on this side of the Atlantic that have affected me have angered me a bit. Then two days ago I had an accident that was caused by a combination of the heatwave the UK is experiencing ATM and my medical condition leaving me with TWO large burns! Been on painkiller medication since.

Anyhoo, hope the exhibition is interesting for you, I seem to remember you mentioned a similar show at AGO a few years ago….I think, I’m still a bit fuzzy!

  5. you did a 𝐺𝑟𝑜𝑜𝑣𝑦 job despite the dumpster & fire escape ʁɞşα

    1. Thank you so much, Klausbernd!
I am had fun with the images, and will have fun this weekend, too!
I wish a fun, flower filled weekend to the Fab Four!
      🌹🌹🌹🌹

    1. Thank you dear Gi!
It was fun getting those pics, but I was sure to remove my sneakers in the downstairs hallway, and spay them with rubbing alcohol.

I so love street art! I also think this artist was aying something. xoxo

  6. I admire your fearlessness in search of interesting pictures! The faces become more like facades – symbols for bones, etc. The artist suggesting that what remains is a mask? Happy Weekend!

    1. Aww, I’m fearless.. LOVE that. It does get me walking the city streets, alleys, climbing fences & fire escapes.. and a few other things I won’t mention…just in case.
      But I never damage anything.

Yes..I love the mask interpretation, Jan.
      Great thinking.
I was onto we are all the same, even if different.
Whatever, I do think the artist was saying something.

If I ever meet the artist ( I meet many in the alleys & on the streets while they are painting))

      Happy weekend to you too!

  7. so intriguing, Resa! There’s something about these faces that remind me of Buddha and Buddhism . Someone worked very hard on these beauties. Thank you , fascinating as always

    xoxoxoxoxo

    1. Woah!
Fabulous comment/take on the art, Cheyenne.
That could very well be what the artist meant… wow.

I do believe the artist was saying something.

Hard to believe this one is “just a cigar”.

    1. Hello Ada!
Yes, it was an intriguing stumble upon. I have passed this dent of trash between buildings for years, then …suddenly…ART!

      ❦🤍❦

    1. Yes, parts of a personality works for me.
Lots of interpretations on this mural, Merril.

This is an exciting week. Thursday I go to the Impressionists exhibition, and Friday a NEW 65″ TV is getting delivered AND someone just gave me a gift… the entire 9 years of Perry Masons in a box set.
      Whew! ❦

  8. Very interesting mismatched faces murals. That top one gives me a feeling of two mixed cultures as well – Egyptian and Aztec? That’s the the vibe I get. Fascinating finds as always! Hugs too! 💜💚❌⭕

    1. Hello Debby!

I get Aztec.. and Mayan, so we are quite sympatico.

It really was a terrific find.

Okay WP is messing with my comments bell notifications. I’m only getting 8 at a time, so I’m at a loss to fully see who commented where or what.

I found this looking back a couple of posts, because I’m onto the whole Gremlins Comments Mess -up.

Anyway, just mentioning this so you remember I love you, even if I don’t reply to a comment!

      XOXO💙💙💙💙💙💙

      1. Thank you my Lovely. Okay, so WP gremlins aren’t showing me all comments either in notifications. But if you go to your dashboard and click on comments, you may be surprised at how many missed comments sit there – as well as the spam box!!! Big hugs xoxo 🧡💛💚

        1. THANK YOU! xoxoxoxo
I’m onto Spam… but I hadn’t thought of checking comments. Although the comments doesn’t show comments an replies from other blogs.

Doing my best, as we all are during this latest Attack of the Gremlins!
          💙💙💙XOXO💙💙💙

    1. LOL… You are welcome, Brian! I sure have fun doing it.
Now, it’s the opposite of too cold. It’s too, hot!

SO, Thursday I will spend the day walking around our fabulous Art Gallery.
There is an exhibit on Impressionism, featuring works by all the greats.
      xo🤗🌹

        1. I’ll be reporting in after tomorrow. I’ll be taking a lot of pics. Robbie and I are doing some fine art posts together. If there’s a gown in the painting…my blog. No gown …her blog!
