My Mom always said, “never kill a ladybug. They’re good luck!”

I like these painted insects better than real like ones.

This is section 3 of the Nick Sweetman fence.

It seems Nick had some help from “Patch” & (Oben Flats or Of Ben Lats)?
My mom said exactly the same thing. These are great.
Lol! I wonder if our mom’s knew each other?
I admit it – I like bugs, even when they creep me out. 😉
Me too! 🙂
Love this section! Ladybugs rule!
I love insects, Resa; even the ‘scary’ ones. They are fascinating, and each have their own ‘energy’… 😀
xoxoxo
Lady bugs are one of the few insects that don’t creep me out! 🙂 xoxoxo
They are gorgeous, Resa. I love to see them on our veggies. I gingerly remove them, and look for them, whenever I harvest. Nothing like blowing on them when they land on your hand. Their little wings take to flight! Sweet… ❤
I’m so happy we don’t have the Asian variety here. Unfortunately, we have the Asian Beetle which is causing a lot of havoc. Entire areas are illegal to walk on. Jail time if you are caught removing any plants or soil. They are a huge problem! Yikes!!! xoxo
Unless these are those agressive ladybugs which came from Asia I believe.. Different species, nasty ones.
I googled, Maciek. Naughty little Asian Ladybugs (beetles). I hadn’t heard of this type. Still, they are gorgeous, unless you have an infestation in your ‘house’… then maybe not so gorgeous. 😀
EEK!!! Won’t look that one up. Lol, may I please have 1 nice bug? LOL! Sigh….:-)
Lol… It’s all a matter of perspective! Think… love insects, all insects; they are all wonderful little creatures just trying to survive… Just like us, really… 😀
True… still eek! xoxo
Oh…oh! Oh dear. W don’t have those here! 🙂 I see 3 Ladybugs a year, if I’m lucky! 🙂
Excellent…love the fence and hope they can find some way of finding a new home for it.
Last time I saw saved construction site fence with art on it, the workers didn’t try to put it back up in order. It was all hodge-podge, and with more than 1 artist’s work. Although that was sort of interesting in & of itself.
I rescued a normal looking ladybird from a swimming pool here in Spain and the little blighter bit me. What IS the world coming to ? lol. Have a lovely week dear Resa. Ralph xoxox ❤ #<
I think the American election is getting to everyone! I’m on another job, so if I don’t get around to comments right away, it’s due to time & brain constraints. Much love, Ralph. xoxox ❤ #<
You’re right dear friend. I never ever enjoy politics, but Trump has turned this Presidential race into a reality show and I have been following it all on CNN.
I am so pleased that you have another job. I hope it’s a great one ! BTW I don’t usual read the credits at the end of a movie or TV series, but now I am looking out for your name. Not seen it yet, but ONE DAY !
Don’t worry about answering. My cats send their purrs to your cats. Love. Ralph xoxox ❤ #<
Grams may have liked ladybugs but cockroaches scared the hell outta her 😀
Yes, They totally freak me out, too! It must be their good looks. 😉
Perfectly creepy bugs that I love!!
Understood! 🙂
I love ladybugs. And yes, they do bring good luck. The photography is wonderful. 🙂
Thank you for the photo compliment. Lady Luck always makes me think of that old ballad poem by Robert Service…”The Shooting of Dan McGrew!” {And watching his luck was his light-o’-love, the lady that’s known as Lou.)
And don’t you just love the lines {There’s men that somehow just grip your eyes, and hold them hard like a spell;
And such was he, and he looked to me like a man who had lived in hell;}
oh! wow! I love that whole thing. Deep.
I’m going to check out Robert Service. 🙂
The poem is “The Shooting of Dan McGrew”
I am looking it up now. 🙂
Perfect post for early spring!
Yeah!!!! 🙂
Wonderful art!
I agree!
I wish all construction fences could be painted this colourful…it is so much better than the dirty brown or grey
I totally agree!
