  1. So when you live somewhere else there are many wonderful people you have never heard of until a fine post like this comes along and gives you reason to research and find out how wonderful your fellow person is. Thank you 🙂

    1. What you say is true!
When I was in Winnipeg taking pics of murals, I had no idea what this mural was about, although I loved it. When the “Mural of the Year” was announced at the end of June, I found out who Bill Norrie was.
Also, I was thrilled to have this mural in my collection.
He died in 2012, and the city of Winnipeg acted very quickly to tribute him in a mural. Winnipeg is fiercely proud of its murals.
Obviously he was very well loved and respected. Thank you for your wonderful comment! 🙂

  2. My goodness, Resa; this is quite fantastic. What a wonderful tribute to an obviously loved man.
There is so much detail in this one; I’m in awe.

    1. Hi Carolyn!
The people of Winnipeg are fiercely proud about their murals. They just keep getting better and better. You are right, Bill Norrie was well loved! xo
