Revenge of the Egg

This is the 3rd time that the egg outside of the Art Store has been painted over.

The Egg is oval. However, when I used the Pano setting on my IPhone, it came out round. Go figure!

The top of the Egg was higher than me, and hard to capture. The Egg is about 6 feet tall. (1.83 M). The sun was high up, glaring upon the top of the Egg.

Still, an interesting challenge to capture it for us all.

This is a realistic side view of the Egg. Some may remember the first Egg I posted – Egg of Birdo

A car was blocking my ability to go all around the Egg, but the car was black & all clean and shiny. The next 4 reflections are lots of fun.

The Artist:

I’m partial to Eggs. I don’t eat them, but I do an interpretive dance called “The Egg Dance”.  It was performed last at The Chicklets’ Poetry Party in April. Click on the pice to enjoy an encore performance!

Resa and the Rock Star – Redux

Rene Rosso (aka Holly) penned a beauty in October, 2018.

Based on an old polaroid of Carmine & me, she came up with a poem that sticks in my heart and mind.  If you click on the pic, you will go to her original post!

Remember back when you were a rock star

and I was a hippie angel?

How comfortable we were with  our

heart  and souls bared.

Do you remember now that you are so far

away that night in Eden when  you came to me

and I came to you and the rest of the world

slipped away?

We held on to one another,  made love and cried

decided never to speak of how every time

the lights went out you rushed to me,

so tender, coming and going.

Young and in love, we named that month Sextember,

yes, it still matters to me.

Do you remember our anguished goodbye?

Neither do I.

Have EYE ever thanked Holly enough?

My cat – Jeep – Jeepo for short

I originally reblogged this on my Queen’s end blog. Now that GALM is all art inclusive, I will be moving many articles here. With the Jeep’s guidance, I will be consolidating both blogs, creatively.

A Potpourri of Art

Now that I’m Graffiti Lux Art & More, I get to post a wider variety of creativity.

Above is a self portrait of my youthful, one-eyed alien self. Below is a butterfly on a garage door.

Charlie Zero wrote the unique micro poem below.

My  comment to him is titled:  Buck Poem Eye

This alley art is the closest I have to a Buckeye Butterfly. However, if you click on the butterfly art below, you will go to Timothy Price’s blog, and see the real thing. His shots are wonderful!

Below is Princess Blue Holly’s alter ego as Rene Rosso, Torch Singer. In a gown I designed, the hem is a butterfly’s folded wings. Many thanks to Holly, my muse/model!

Here is PBH on an undercover assignment, as a showgirl in the Folies Bergère . She is a mistress of disguise.

🎨 Frida Kahlo 🎨

This is the second Frida Kahlo piece I’ve found.

I met the artist, Anya, while traversing alleys and parking lots. OMG! She was so neat. She spent time chit-chatting with me.

She said the art would be done by Thursday end. She had another art engagement on Friday. I didn’t think Anya & MSKA, who was assisting with B.G., would make the date. Wednesday rained all day.

She showed me the self portrait she was basing this mural on.

LOVE the hand/glove earrings!!!

I went back Sunday. It’s not quite finished, but I shot it anyway. I don’t know when I’ll get back there.

I adore the way she has Frida emerging out of the wings of a Monarch. When I returned, dumpsters had been moved in.

I shoot them as I get them.
