    1. Sue, Yes! It’s a piece full of colour and light. It’s one of the better works I have found on a box recently. xx ❤

What a beautiful mural. She brings a song to mind:

I love the blue pomegranate girl
Oh, I don’t know just why
    She simply caught my eye
I love the blue pomegranate girl she seemed so sweet and kind.
    She crept into my mind.

    1. I don’t know that song, Tim. I was thinking pomegranates when I took the pics and was posting it.
You know, it could very well be what the artist was thinking!
I’m going for a listen! xx

        1. Ahh, I know that song. I always thought it was called Flowers in Her Hair.

An odd band, not one I think of, but there is something about that song. It must have been a hit in its day.

Yes! It goes perfect with this mural. xx

  2. How sweet is this?! Such an adorable face and I definitely sense an Asian twist to this. Such beautiful colors , reds, gold, green , brown fruit surrounding her, , almost a part of this lovely image. A superb catch Meece! I love this.

    1. Thanks Meece! It was one of those up a street, corner of my eye, splash of colour so I must investigate finds.
Those pay off half the time.
      It’s a sweet piece! xoxoxoxoxo

  3. Oh Resa! This is so beautiful, Sorceress. I love how it looks huge in your photos until the last one when we see it is tiny! She is so beautiful and full of summer sweetness. I love this so much. I especially love it with the dumping we got today!

    1. Agree. Close up one would think it’s a larger painting. Then …we find it’s small.
Perhaps her harvest hair is Greek-like. Anyway, it’s lovely to look at.

  4. She’s so lovely, Resa, a serene summer spirit or goddess. She might be holding the scene in her hands.

What is the building behind the box? Perhaps the artist is connected to it in some way.

    1. Merril,
It is a pleasant sight & it made me feel happy to look at it.
I just updated the artist’s name: Katrina Canendo
The building is a church, Danforth Church.

It’s a Bell Box, which is for telephone land lines. Bell has an in house program that pays artists to paint the boxes.

Thanks for the question/thoughts. I did some searching and found out the info/ artists name & the church’s name.

  5. Ah, she’s in bliss… and who wouldn’t be in her surroundings!
    Blue beauty, dahling!
Hugs and love and more love and slobberies from… guess who!

  6. Wow! She is so cute. It’s amazing how we often see those paintings with a lot of fruits and plants. That was another great catch, dear Resa. Thanks! 🤙🥰🙏🤗🌹🌺🍊🥭

    1. Yes, It is uplifting, thank you Robbie!

I’m slower than usual blogging. It’s the government time of year, and wow, they sure like paperwork. (not my forte)
I will be by, anon! 🥰🌹

    1. It is lovely and makes me happy to look at it.

I’m a bit slugged up with non creative gov’t homework.
I’m close to finishing the tat drawing (2-3 nights) and have another Lelaine in a riding outfit finished. 🥰

  8. What a gorgeous mural! The colors just makes me happy 🙂

Btw, I couldn’t comment on your Jim Morrison post but love that drawing! I actually saw his grave at Paris’ Père-Lachaise cementary.

    1. It makes me happy, too!
      🙂
Oh, thank you so much about the Jim Morrison drawing. I really felt him when I was doing it. I became a bit obsessed with finishing it.
I’ll visit his grave if I ever get to Paris! Lucky you. I hope it was a good experience!

  9. Another sweet find in Greektown Res. Love the Greek aisle blues in the mural. I think you’ve uncovered some lovely unchartered new territory. 🙂 ❤ xox ❤

    1. Debby,
I really enjoyed my day there. I haven’t been there since covid. So many places we used to go once a year to eat and enjoy the atmosphere all seem forgotten now.
      Onward with uncharted territory!
      💖🌹xo
