Now that face certainly brightens up the neighbourhood… Lovely art work xx ❤
Sue, Yes! It’s a piece full of colour and light. It’s one of the better works I have found on a box recently. xx ❤
We need more coloured bright spots in our world.. Thank you for this find. Xx ❤️
Welcome Sue! Agree! It’s a lovely paining and it makes me feel good! Xx ❤️
Likewise Resa xx

What a beautiful mural. She brings a song to mind:
I love the blue pomegranate girl
Oh, I don’t know just why
She simply caught my eye
I love the blue pomegranate girl she seemed so sweet and kind.
She crept into my mind.
I don’t know that song, Tim. I was thinking pomegranates when I took the pics and was posting it.
You know, it could very well be what the artist was thinking!
I’m going for a listen! xx
Ahh, I know that song. I always thought it was called Flowers in Her Hair.
An odd band, not one I think of, but there is something about that song. It must have been a hit in its day.
Yes! It goes perfect with this mural. xx
I figured you would know the song. It’s unique for the Cowsils. It’s so 70s.
A lovely, pensive portrait. The face reminds me a great deal of my niece.
Hello Liz,
Then your niece is lovely. How cool that a piece of art is like your niece!
How sweet is this?! Such an adorable face and I definitely sense an Asian twist to this. Such beautiful colors , reds, gold, green , brown fruit surrounding her, , almost a part of this lovely image. A superb catch Meece! I love this. xoxoxoxoxo
Thanks Meece! It was one of those up a street, corner of my eye, splash of colour so I must investigate finds.
Those pay off half the time.
It’s a sweet piece! xoxoxoxoxo
Very sweet. I love it. I think it’s one of my favorites! xoxoxoxoxo
I like it more every time I look at it!
xoxoxoxoxo
It’s very flower child like
xoxoxoxoxo
Yes…Flowers in her hair, flowers everywhere!

Thank you, dear John!!

This art feels wonderfully different, Resa!
I like it because it feels rich in an earthy way, not a money way. Lovely to look at.
I like your description of it!
Thanks! 🤗

Very Tahitian, don’t you think? I’m reminded of Paul Gaugin.
Great Thought Jan. I hadn’t thought of that, but now that you point it out….Yes!
Oh Resa! This is so beautiful, Sorceress. I love how it looks huge in your photos until the last one when we see it is tiny! She is so beautiful and full of summer sweetness. I love this so much. I especially love it with the dumping we got today!
A lovely image from any distance, Resa. Peaceful and serene.
Yes! The street art in Greek Town is all like this… rich, peaceful, and joyous in a serene way. Thank you, Bruce!
love the blue!
Thanks Beth! Me too, about the blue. Yet, it makes me feel more happy than blue, like all the colours around her.
Very interesting because the step-back look (the last one) looks different than I imagined. Indeed colorful, but she doesn’t look Greek to me. Good find, Resa!
Agree. Close up one would think it’s a larger painting. Then …we find it’s small.
Perhaps her harvest hair is Greek-like. Anyway, it’s lovely to look at.

So lovely. Beauty covering something unsighly. Perfect.
Yes! Street art has many purposes, and the reason for this one is to make an ugly steel box look pretty! xxx
Great success!!!
YA!
Lovely!

Deal! Let’s do it. That would be such a groove, like really where it’s at man.
That was soooo cool!
Thank you, man! ✌️
Groovy! Just thought I’d lay that on you cos it is so far out man.
What a lovely flower queen!
Yes…like your hat, but different! 💐
Lovely. A ray of sunshine. Like the way you unveiled it too x
Thank you dear Shey! It is a lovely sunny piece, for sure! xxxx
It made me think of Greece all right.
Oh goody! I love that part of the city!
xxxxx. Truly the colors and the brightness just minded of all the wee islands we’d stayed on….
I’ve never been. Sounds beautiful…bluetiful xxx
I think if you chose the small ones…the ones where not too many folks live, you might just like it there. And the sky is always blue.
Ahh, thank you dear Shey!
She’s so lovely, Resa, a serene summer spirit or goddess. She might be holding the scene in her hands.
What is the building behind the box? Perhaps the artist is connected to it in some way.
Merril,
It is a pleasant sight & it made me feel happy to look at it.
I just updated the artist’s name: Katrina Canendo
The building is a church, Danforth Church.
It’s a Bell Box, which is for telephone land lines. Bell has an in house program that pays artists to paint the boxes.
Thanks for the question/thoughts. I did some searching and found out the info/ artists name & the church’s name.
You’re welcome, Resa. I’m glad you were able to get more information. I thought it might be a church, or a building that had once been a church.
💙
Really beautiful, dear Resa 🩵🩵🩵

You’re very welcome 🌹🌹🌹

Hi Resa, what a beautiful and uplifting artwork to come across 💕🌹
Yes, It is uplifting, thank you Robbie!
I’m slower than usual blogging. It’s the government time of year, and wow, they sure like paperwork. (not my forte)
I will be by, anon! 🥰🌹
So vibrant. I love the last picture where it simply pops! against the dark surroundings. :-) Lovely find, Resa. 🙂
It is lovely and makes me happy to look at it.
I’m a bit slugged up with non creative gov’t homework.
I’m close to finishing the tat drawing (2-3 nights) and have another Lelaine in a riding outfit finished. 🥰
I just saw your email. Happy me! And non-creative government work sounds … well … non creative. 🙂
Got your reply. Yayay! So happy you like the tattoos! Next mail, the drawings will be done. 🙂

It may be “blue” but this mural is all contentment. I love the happy colors and whimsical style. Thanks for finding this one for us, Resa. Big hugs.
What a gorgeous mural! The colors just makes me happy 🙂
Btw, I couldn’t comment on your Jim Morrison post but love that drawing! I actually saw his grave at Paris’ Père-Lachaise cementary.
It makes me happy, too!
🙂
Oh, thank you so much about the Jim Morrison drawing. I really felt him when I was doing it. I became a bit obsessed with finishing it.
I’ll visit his grave if I ever get to Paris! Lucky you. I hope it was a good experience!
Another sweet find in Greektown Res. Love the Greek aisle blues in the mural. I think you’ve uncovered some lovely unchartered new territory. 🙂 ❤ xox ❤
Debby,
I really enjoyed my day there. I haven’t been there since covid. So many places we used to go once a year to eat and enjoy the atmosphere all seem forgotten now.
Onward with uncharted territory!
