The Eyes Have It

Adore this face, by female artist EGR.

I did take pics of the eyes separately, then the nose and mouth.

SPUD, a fab artist in his own right, either helped EGR or tagged it.

                1. Okay, I’ve got the kisses corralled.
I’ve dedicated a shelf in one of my bookcases, and put up a pretend fence.
However, now my lips are chapped.
Think I’ll try to soften them up with all this wine.
                  🐂🍷🐂🍷🐂🍷

                    1. Hahaha! You and your barrels of wine.
I’ll need a lot of pasta and pizza to go with that!
I only hope this time the barrel was clean before they put the wine in it!
                      XOXOXOXO

                    2. Yuck!
That’s what happened last time you sent me a barrel of wine.
I don’t know about these Texas barrels. The wine…YES! The oil barrels….mmmmm not so much.
Yes, loving the GIANT kisses and hugs.
I’m flattered you made it to page 26, and still like me!
                      XOXOXOXO

Eye eye, Captain. That is one beautifully painted mural of a gorgeous woman. Her hair and the city scape background are perfect.

    1. Lol! Thanks matey!
Agree, the composition works well. I do love the hair.
When I look at it, it could be a Holly. Still, the alleys are filled with Hollys, so I’ll find more.
Drawing to live music tonight. I’m using the large paper (not the roll).
I never know what will happen! xo

    1. I must agree! And…. since Covid, I haven’t left my walking zone, which is quite large. Will be doing a bit of exploration on Monday and Wednesday. Hoping to get lucky!

    1. I fell in love with this at first glance. I just love the alleys in Toronto. I never know what I will find! 🏍🏍❤️💗🌷🤗🌷💗❤️🏍🏍

  2. Fabulous captures!!!! Thank you for the introduction Resa, to EGR Art. I am now following her on Instagram and found these words that resonate with this mural: “Starting each day is another opportunity to connect with nature, with ourselves and to begin anew. On daily morning walks, I meditate on my wishes for the future. Gratitude and self love are key.” Always a joy to walk with you!

    1. Thank you, Rebecca!
EGR is one of the earliest street artists I discovered in Toronto. However, I did not realize the artist was a she until about 3 years ago.
Great words! I agree. Although my walks are afternoon walks, I feel the same. I am connecting with the nature of art.

Ohh, getting close to a new PBH AGMs post. The drawings have taken me quite awhile, as I am also in the throes of a new Art Gown. Wait ’til you see the GIF I made of RB!
Hugs, and you are always welcome on my walks!!!!

    1. It’s a beauty, Meece!
I was going to hoard this, but broke down.
The music was pretty great last night. They did play Eagle.
Their best last night was “Baby Blue”.
Hope you like the Chainelle I drew!
I’m 3/4 of the way through my epic finale drawing.
Then I can start working on the post!!!!!
      xoxoxo

      1. Chainelle is gorgeous! I’m glad you’ve got the band back. Can you join in or are they still under your bed 😂. I love the Eagle’s music. Can’t go wrong with that. Waiting patiently for your post. Eeeee!! xoxoxo

        1. The band is still under my bed. I’m good with that!
I don’t know anyone else who could say that.
I’d love for you to sit on the bed with me when the band played.
You could write poetry, and I could draw.
          We could both drink wine.
          xoxoxo

Only one person has heard the band under the bed, one of the players GFs. She yakked and yakked, then suddenly stopped to listen. “That sounds great,” she said in shock!
          DUH!
          🐭🎼🎶🐭

            1. Yeah!
              Shhhhh, yes. Mum’s the music!
              xoxoxoxo
You know it’s still there if you want to hear it again. Sasha is on drums!

65% done on the finale drawing!

        1. Hats are an extension of personal style that has largely gone by the wayside.
It’s an unfortunate turn of events.
The hat was a crowning glory.
Now, it’s all about hair being the crowning glory.
Not everyone has great hair, but everyone can have a great hat. xx

  3. It really is beautiful, Resa. Stylized, symmetry, lovely colors.
I can’t help envying that symmetrical face — I’ve always had a Picasso face. 🙂
I’m amazed that you continue to find these lovely murals. Many thanks for sharing them with us. Hugs on the wing.

  4. What a stunning painting. I love the way you first captured the eyes and nose and progressively pieced the painting to the whole completion. Hugs my talented friend. ❤ xxx
