Canada will be 150 years old in 2017.
Our Capital city, Ottawa, is getting ready for the party. Murals are on the program.
This mural, in an underpass, celebrates many of Canada’s wonderful aspects.
From left to right, it begins by celebrating Canada’s youth.
And they are gorgeous!
Wait until you see the rest of what this mural celebrates about Canada!

Hey Daniel!
I can’t believe how hard I’m working & how little posting I’m doing. I miss you & all my blog pals. Nonetheless, this project has 9 more shooting days & then wrap. I’ll be back home in early July… Sigh!
Kewl, your living the dream my friend! And yes I and I’m sure many others have missed you! 🙂
I want to go to Canada… I’ve been saying that now for so long I feel like a broken record…!!! One day I WILL get there…
Good to get that out, Resa – 😉 😉

I have just read in a previous comment that you have nine days left to run. Well done dear Resa for sticking it out and working so hard. Not long to go now. Big hug. Ralph xoxox #< ❤
That’s 9 shooting days, which with weekends will be until June 28. Then I have a week of wrap before I go home in early July. I sure miss Jeep & Johnny! I think they should send Sonic & Samantha a special letter… or something (pics) when I get back. Much love to you & the pussy cats. xoxo ❤ #<
Sonic and Samantha, not forgetting China Cat, would love to hear from Jeep and Johnny once you get settled back home dear friend. I am sure we can do another interview post. Love back to you from both me and the cats. Big hug. Ralph xoxo ❤ #<
Yay!!! xoxo
Happy almost Birthday to Canada! Love the vibrant colors!
Thanks, Lori!!!
History and youth is a good mix, celebrating the past and the future in vibrant colours. Nine days left, you can get there my friend and well done for doing it, I know it’s been a challenge but you conquer it and you do so with style.
9 shooting days (well, many are nights) … then a week’s wrap. I’ll be home early July. I adore Ottawa, and I love the project. Nonetheless, home is where the heart is!
You’ve had an odyssey and a half, the end is near now and already the thought of you with your feet up (and a glass of wine) makes me grin.
My wishes for a fabulous birthday to your beautiful country, the first part of the mural is great, a happy and satisfied youth 🙂
Hugs Resa!!!
Yes, a happy & satisfied youth. They will own the future. I am excited to post the rest of the mural, hopefully next Thursday. My weekend is Thursday & Friday, if I don’t have to work. LOL! xoxo ❤
Oh Resa!! We live in an amazing country. I remember the 100th birthday party.
So lovely to read your comment, Rebecca. I understand your love for Canada. I feel the same way for my country of birth; Australia. It’s a heart warmingly good feeling! 🙂
Carolyn, you are one lucky girl. I’ve never been to Australia, but I know it (from reading & friends like you) as a wonderful place. 🙂
You would love it, Resa, I’m sure. Australia would welcome you with open arms… 🙂
Carolyn!!! Canada is waiting your visit!!! 💛💛💛
xoxoxo I’ll be there one day, Rebecca… ❤ ❤ ❤
I have known since childhood that I live in a fortuitous time & place. How sweet it is & how lucky we are. 🙂 My heart breaks for many on earth, and not just humans, but the animals. You are a gem, Rebecca. I am so happy I’ve met you! 🙂
Me too!! My most favourite quote of all times comes from JRR Tolkien. “I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo. “So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.” You have chosen well, my dear friend!!!
How wonderful!!! Great shots.
Thank you! The rest of the mural is quite awesome! It was so nice visiting your blog today. LOL… the Un-Pie shop.. I’m grateful for the career I have, but I sure like the down time & blogging a lot more.
Happy Birthday to Canada! Beautiful finds Resa – take care my friend.
Thank you, Mary! The rest of the mural is really great… & I found another one! I should have time to photograph it before I leave to go home.
Waiting to see more.Cheers.

Congrats Canada, beautiful country
Thank you, Maria! Canada is a wonderful place in many, many ways. ♡
Everyday is a celebration in picturesque Canada,
even all of your fantastic photos cannot do it justice.
However, marking it’s 150th birthday, is and will be memorable.
Thank you, Eddie! I do love it here. Things are not perfect, but there is still a lot of nature left, the mood is positive and yes, it is very picturesque. ❤
