Nice one 🙂 Davids portraits are chaotic and brilliant…
I chanced upon one of Davids paintings in London before I knew who it was by back in 2010. I posted pics here: http://postcardcafe.wordpress.com/2010/11/28/new-work-by-david-walker-london/
I think I’m right in thinking he used to be part of a collective which also had in its ranks Jo Peel
Do check out Jo’s totally brilliant video here: http://postcardcafe.wordpress.com/2012/04/25/things-change-by-jo-peel-london-2012/
It took Jo three weeks to paint/film this piece. I eventually met Jo when she moved to Sheffield a couple of years ago and she told me exactly how much hard work went into making the video/painting…. Yes you guessed it —- A lot!
Keep up the good work…
Best wishes
Mr Cafe
Dear Mr. Cafe,
I thoroughly enjoyed the links journey you took me on!
I was unaware of Jo until now. Thank you for saying I do good work, and I wish you a wonderful holiday season!
Cheers!
Resa
Resa, I am stunned. There is SO much emotion is these that I am just covered in goosebumps. Bless you for posting these murals. I really have no words … this woman’s talent just blows me away! Love, Amy
This piece is really lovely to look at! So happy you stopped by! Oh, and your cats are beauty show winners! Wow!
GRIN!!!!
I love the way he worked the contour of that cheekbone like it’s coloured glass.
I agree! I was thinking how beauteous the cheekbone was, as I was preparing this post.
I’d love to see something like this in stained glass!
gorgeous!
Truly!
That is very lovely Resa
It really is, Bill! I’m so glad you got to see it!
Complex, like every woman 🙂
“Ha!” 🙂 🙂
Super-wow! We gotta get there!!! I enjoyed reading the Postcard Cafe post and the video as well. Just wow on this artist!
And the painting continues at Wynwood! If you check out their site, they now have an archives section, meaning they have been painting over the older murals!
