Street art poetry: Collaboration by Resa and i

This is Charlie Zero’s & my second Street Art Poetry collaboration. We want it to become a movement. There will be a third!

Resa Mcconaghy and I collaborated on ‘street art poetry’.
Her interpretation of my words is an 80’s futurism vibe,
blending psychedelic trance & sci-fi spectrum kaleidoscope colors.

She is a rock star and a brilliant painter/artist/poet/ designer/
& photographer. Much praise to her incredible work and contribution
to the arts and community. 🙂

Without further ado here’s a poem and photography of amazing art.

Unzip the clock –
Inside
origins pulsate.
Every color hatches
a rotten piano.

The Flowers blend in with the art.
Resa, you captured this shot so well. I love it. 🙂

This photo shot is perfect!

All the colors and the words awake the enigma eye.

The hot pink, black, green, & white looks so hypnotizing and spectacular.

The eye is unzipping the clock.

Resa and the Rock Star – Redux

Rene Rosso (aka Holly) penned a beauty in October, 2018.

Based on an old polaroid of Carmine & me, she came up with a poem that sticks in my heart and mind.  If you click on the pic, you will go to her original post!

Remember back when you were a rock star

and I was a hippie angel?

How comfortable we were with  our

heart  and souls bared.

Do you remember now that you are so far

away that night in Eden when  you came to me

and I came to you and the rest of the world

slipped away?

We held on to one another,  made love and cried

decided never to speak of how every time

the lights went out you rushed to me,

so tender, coming and going.

Young and in love, we named that month Sextember,

yes, it still matters to me.

Do you remember our anguished goodbye?

Neither do I.

Have EYE ever thanked Holly enough?

My cat – Jeep – Jeepo for short

I originally reblogged this on my Queen’s end blog. Now that GALM is all art inclusive, I will be moving many articles here. With the Jeep’s guidance, I will be consolidating both blogs, creatively.

A Potpourri of Art

Now that I’m Graffiti Lux Art & More, I get to post a wider variety of creativity.

Above is a self portrait of my youthful, one-eyed alien self. Below is a butterfly on a garage door.

Charlie Zero wrote the unique micro poem below.

My  comment to him is titled:  Buck Poem Eye

This alley art is the closest I have to a Buckeye Butterfly. However, if you click on the butterfly art below, you will go to Timothy Price’s blog, and see the real thing. His shots are wonderful!

Below is Princess Blue Holly’s alter ego as Rene Rosso, Torch Singer. In a gown I designed, the hem is a butterfly’s folded wings. Many thanks to Holly, my muse/model!

Here is PBH on an undercover assignment, as a showgirl in the Folies Bergère . She is a mistress of disguise.

❦ The Chicklets’ Poetry Party Scrapbook ❦

Holly & I were honoured to be guests at the Chicklets Poetry Party. We are the first humans to visit the Coop. It was such a wonderful event, I decided to make a Scrapbook.

I found some vignette sleeves for the pictures, and painted a cover. The painting expresses the movement of the Beat Generation into the Hippy generation.

Joyce and her little sister, Sandie, opened the party. They want you to know if you click on the pics of the party, you can read the poems!

Holly, one of the best poets, ever, wrote a stunning piece. She was accompanied by tambourine. Holly is so cool. She can snap her fingers. I’m still learning how!

Kathy wrote and read 2 poems.

Flicka and her mom were rescued from a factory farm. She read 2 amazing poems by Melanie.

Albert and his best pal Ducky wrote and read a poem each. Albert was rescued from a bunny farm.

Tommy read a poem my cat Johnny wrote for Gi’s cat, Em. It’s called Für Emily.

As I am not a poet, I performed “The Egg” to Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven, which is poetry in motion. I spent 2 weeks practising hatching, pecking, hopping & strutting.

THE MAKING OF POETRY PARTY

No expense was spared. In the “Making Of” slideshow you’ll see: the multiple committee meeting, a nest being made & lit for my Egg dance, mikes being adjusted for Chicklets & humans, the tent where Holly & I slept, the special Bunny & Duck slippers that Rosy made for Holly & me, and the Welcoming Committee.

CLOSING REMARKS

There was an after party, or as we say in film the Wrap Party.

Holly and I send a huge Thank you to Georgiann!

Holly has written this most beautiful poem for the scrapbook. It is especially for Gigi.

Look what I found for Georgiann, a street art pigeon! It’s just a tiny little bit of art, hiding in a corner in a alley. Anyway, it’s for her and if you click on it, you will be transported to her blog via pigeon magic.
