Cash Akoza has taken First Nations style art to a new horizon.
In an older, drab area of Winnipeg, Cash has added color and theme & brightened it up for all the kids who live there.
There are 5 painted walls, all in small area between a street and an alley. It’s a place where a lot of kids live. This one of the walls.

I sent a book in!
This is a colorful & educational mural about the Philippines!
The traditional costume is very beautiful.
The happiness is beautiful.

An ice-cream dream to you, Frank! What a wonderful post for Kids’ Month. It’s synchronicity. I decide to have a Kids’ Month, and you find an Ice Cream Dream mural. Thank you times the stars!

Ice Cream Daydream is a vibrant mural created by ArtWorks at 33 East 12th Street in Cincinnati’s Over the Rhine district. This mural is full of imagination, fun and joy.
ArtWorks is a unique non-profit organization that employs and trains local youth to create art in the community. To date, ArtWorks is responsible for over 100 murals throughout Cincinnati – which many are in the main part of the city.

Owls are amazing creatures that go to work under the colors of night.
I found this painted owl on the side of a tiny building in Winnipeg.
Cindy Knoke found a real life owl at “The Living Coast Discovery Center in The San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge. It’s amazingly gorgeous, and if you click on Cindy’s photo of the owl, you will get to see an entire post filled with this beauty!
My painted owl is very pretty, and lovely to look at. However, when I look at Cindy’s owl, I want to hold it and kiss it and hug it and love it.

These sweet birdies are all over the city for young and old alike to enjoy.
This painted power box is outside of a grade school, and community park.
Seems like chicks and “Chicklets” alike are for kids, and kids are very cool.
Even the stupid tag on this side doesn’t ruin it, for me. I hope the kids who see it everyday are inspired by the art, and not the vandalism. I’m hoping Uber 5000 comes back and touches it up.

My point is that during “Kids’ Month” we should educate!
