It’s a Dog’s Life

Good ARFternoon! As a monocle wearing dog, I look much smarter than other dogs.

However, looks and brains  aren’t everything. Heart is also most important.

So, my pals & I are here to tell you about three people and 53 shelter dogs that survived a plane crash.

No dogs jump over the moon, in the post.

However. you will be over the moon when you read how some of the dogs got adopted by their rescuers.

The cat could be Bacon. He’ does beautiful cats, and he and Dudeman had a mural on this same fence. I think they painted over it.

Hallowe’en 22

I see you got the inbite, ….. erm  ….invite to my special Hallowe’en bash & birthday party for Resa’s niece Sherrie.

Say “hello” to Snarl, my co-host for the evening.  Snarl, say “hello”to our guests!

SNNAAAARRRLLLL

Some of the regular alley skulls have dropped in.

We usually eat the guests with flesh on their bones, but this year we’re serving skull cream cones, instead.

Big Daddy Devil has made an appearance.

He’s brought his rotten son, Little Boy Devil along.

For fun, they rode in on their giant pet, Mothy. Sweet thing!

Entertainment wise, two alley ghouls are performing incantations and spells. Line up on the left for special hex requests!

I hope you have enjoyed your evening of horror here in our Hallowe’en hell-hole! Meet King, our bouncer!

HALLOWE’EN BONUS

I’ll be doing a review of all of Robbie and Michael’s books, down the road a bit. However, I couldn’t resist a mention of “Haunted Halloween Holiday”.

Even kids’ books can have spoilers, so I’ll be brief

Meet Count Sugular. He is one of the many characters in this and other of this series of kids’ books. Like all, he is an artwork made of fondant, an edible sugar clay…in a way. Edible glue is used & edible food colouring.

Kids can eat these characters. SO, all children must brush their teeth after eating one. Above is Skelly the Skeleton. Below is Jack Frost.

Sometimes You Just Have to Know Where to Stand

In my previous post, I had stated that the half face didn’t make sense. Then I turned the corner, and there was the other half face. If I stood in a certain spot, I could capture the full face.
In a comment, Trent said, “Sometimes you just have to know where to stand.”
I thought for sure that was already a saying or song, or book. I couldn’t find exactly that when I searched. Trent has claimed it further with a short story that is relevant today. It’s a great read!

The man had “Art Critic” written all over his face.

He frowned, took a step to the side and squinted.

Mag had to laugh. He reminded her of that governor who the ex had entertained a few years ago, the one who most likely never drank anything except for Bud and yet pretended to be a connoisseur of fine Bordeaux. Where was he from, Alabama? Texas? No matter. His expressions were just priceless as he twirled and sniffed the glass he obviously felt was oversized. He then held the glass up to the light before he almost choked on the huge gulp he downed. He pretended to love it, but it was obvious he hated every drop.

The art critic’s expressions were even more obvious.

She sighed.

Well, she’d have to rescue this one since he was most likely going to give her a zero-star review in the Times.

Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan

This is over a pub called “Pour Boy”.

I recognized Jimi immediately.

There was another face, but only a part of a face. For some reason, I got Robert Palmer stuck in my head.

This was my 3rd time here. It’s on a busy side street.. delivery trucks, cars parked or driving up and down, people galore. No room to take pics, until this day. I thought, I’ll grab Jimi, anyway.

As I was leaving, I saw this around the corner. Id never seen around the corner before.

Looks like Dylan to me!

Dead on, it did not make sense. I had to find the angle. Jimi recorded one of Dylan’s songs, “All Along the Watchtower”. I was angst over whose version to put here. Then I remembered Playing for Change. 🌟 Brilliant 🤩 A must see!
