Yes, celebrating, as I will once the temps stay above freezing. It looks like we will be in the balmy range of 2C (daytime only) as of around March 10.
The girls are very talented!
So beautiful! Cranes are plentiful here , they just wander around in pairs ( they are monogamous, usually in the spring they will have a young one with them. If they lose their mate or offspring they will search for days calling mournfully, They are so special! These are beautiful paintings of these amazing birds. Thank you for finding and sharing them Resa! 💞💞💞💞
Holly, how wonderful! I have never seen a crane around here!
It’s so beautiful that they are monogamous. The fact that the cranes, and many other animals cry out for their mates and offspring proves that animals have feelings.
I’m so happy to be a veggie!
Well, still, I can cross the footbridge to the lake, where I can see a few ducks, the odd swan, Canada Geese and sea gulls aplenty.
Up on Queen we have sparrows, pigeons and grackles. In back yarded areas there are also blue jays, various black birds and finches. I agree the street art cranes are beautiful, and I am happy to have them.
How wonderful to have all those gorgeous birds & exotic creatures around you. 💞🌺💞🌹♥️
However, we have ….. baby pigeons! LOL! 😉
I must say, I never saw an uglier baby, but when they look at me with their big bulging eyes which take up all of their heads except for their hungry little mouths, they melt my heart.
I saved one nest from being eradicated by a pest control guy. He was putting up spikes so they couldn’t nest, but there was already a nest there. It involved me making a big scene in the street. He went away, and came back after they left the nest.
Haha! It took them about 3 years, but slowly, slowly the pigeons filled in the spaces between the spikes with … stuff! Then they built a nest on top of the spikes. 😀
❦❦🕊❦❦ (Couldn’t find a pigeon emoji, so I used a dove!)
What, the clocks change next week? Uch! Why can’t it just always stay the same time? Okay, I shouldn’t complain. I’ll go do some art of a kind! Cheers!
As our dear Anne with an “e” once said: “That is one good thing about this world…there are always sure to more springs.” L.M. Montgomery I have been looking forward to the daffodils but no sighting yet. But there is a feeling that the earth is waking up!!!
Nature is gorgeous, I love the backdrop though, the darkness really suggests so many things but my favourite thought is that it doen’t show any signs of humans. The ones on the side door almost appear 3D from afar.
Yes, and I am pretending that spring is in my sights.
“Oh, look there! I think that will be a tulip in 2 weeks. Look, the trees…. I see pre buds!”
😀 +6C and rain on Sunday! ⚡️💥will fill the atmosphere!
🧞♀️(You, of course, realize this is as close as we can get to sorceress)👗,
Today, sun is blinding. It’s-7, feels like -14. 🙄
I’m not even allowing myself to pretend. Yet.
Calling for a flash snowfall tonight. Like eff off already!
Hmm, I could do a spring print, but that’s on fabric.
Alright!!!! Let me just recall that incantation Uncle Luedi taught me.
Let’s see!
AH! Hocus Pocus, Rolly Rocus. (accompanied by the imagined sound of thunder)
Pulled a quarter out of my ear, and I got to keep it, every time!

A happy, dancing, feelgood piece with such lovely warm colours. These past few days I’m all hawk-eyed watching things bloom around me. Magic time of year. Thanks for posting the pics for us :)x
Bloom around you? You lucky ducky! -15c today here. Took me longer to bundle up to walk a block to the corner store than it took me to walk there and back.
YET, Sunday +6C and rain!!!!!xx
PS – Brrrr! minus 15c? Would I survive where you are?? The coldest I’ve ever known is -6c, and that was in the north of England once. Here it rarely drops below 3c in winter.
Great birds, and its always wild the places you can find them. Loved these, and for once a guy who loves winter agrees very much with you, bring that special date forth.
Always a treat to visit your blog(s). Your open eye for beauty brings a very positive feeling, as you both create and discover beautiful art to share with us. It’s alwsays an inspiration to see a garage door beautified.
Excellent depictions of cranes.
I quite like this depiction. They look like they are dancing. Do cranes look like dancing in real life?
Yes. They dance and spar like that.
Very neat!!!
They do look like they are celebrating, don’t they. Andrea and Caitlan have done a wonderful job here.

So I better not tell you I have been suffering temps in the low 30C. Lol

I feel your pain! Lol! 😉
Great sense of humor.😊
Resa, your photos of dancing cranes makes me smile! Spring arriving is such a happy thought! Hope you have a wonderful week!
📚🎶Christine
Agree, these cranes are happy making! You have a wonderful week, too! ❦
I agree, they are celebrating – something. Personally I’m counting down to cooler days 🙂 But ask me again in six months……
Lol! Well, we must live in different zones. Okay, 6 months…I’ll try and remember September! 😀
New Zealand, different hemispheres 🙂 And yes, in September I’ll be saying exactly what you are saying now …… It’s great isn’t it!
How absolutely beautiful.
IKR!!!! ❤

Nice birds..springing forward the clock next sunday, closing on the equinox, spring isn’t very far…they know it…:)
What, the clocks change next week? Uch! Why can’t it just always stay the same time? Okay, I shouldn’t complain. I’ll go do some art of a kind! Cheers!
I think it is because they want us to check smoke detectors or curse the apparatus that doesn’t change time automatically…:D
Truly luv this one, Resa; the cranes on the garage door are so lifelike!
What a great find.. 🙂
xoxoxo
It’s a beautiful premonition of spring! 😀 xoxoxo
As our dear Anne with an “e” once said: “That is one good thing about this world…there are always sure to more springs.” L.M. Montgomery I have been looking forward to the daffodils but no sighting yet. But there is a feeling that the earth is waking up!!!
Oh yes, I surely agree. The earth is waking up. Definitely no daffodils here, yet!
They are shooting another season of Ann with an “e” here!
Can hardy wait!!! Hugs coming your way.
{{{Hugs}}} on wings!
Nature is gorgeous, I love the backdrop though, the darkness really suggests so many things but my favourite thought is that it doen’t show any signs of humans. The ones on the side door almost appear 3D from afar.
Hahaha! No humans works for me. I had to go and look at what you call an almost 3D effect. Very cool!!
Dancing cranes! Whoop! 😉
I guess, for some, spring is within their sights…

Yeah… ABCDEEEEEEF off! xoxo
Dear Sorceress – could you not use your powers for other than fabric?

Buahahaha! You da best, yanno that?
Well thank you, ⚡️💥! That makes 2 of us! 😀
😘🧞♀️👗
Graceful ballet dancers!
Yes, they are so graceful. Are there cranes where you live?
Yes, we do. I like their imperial looks.
Nice!
Beautiful!
I won’t argue that! 😀

Something nice though about wrapping up against the cold and getting all snuggly. We’re in the low 20Cs already and it’s almost tee-shirt weather 🙂
PS – Brrrr! minus 15c? Would I survive where you are?? The coldest I’ve ever known is -6c, and that was in the north of England once. Here it rarely drops below 3c in winter.
It should be warming up to around +1 in a few days. I can hardly wait. I’ve got a serious case of cabin fever!
Well done garage door … and the birds in nature will soon be strutting their stuff over a mate.
True! I know many don’t like them, but I get a kick out of the pigeons!
Excellent, my friend. Those birds look a bit Greek, don’t they? 😃 sending much love across the continent 😘👋
Actually, now that you mention it, they do look a bit Greek! Sending love on wings to Argentina! 🕊🇦🇷to you! 💜🦄
I’ll dance too 😀 Cheers to nature and art!! OHHHH and to friendship xo
Dancing & loving! Can’t go wrong in any season! xo
