I was in the lane behind 445 River Avenue in Winnipeg. I was shooting the centered piece of Graffiti Art, but when I saw a giant bug I ran for cover.
I was frozen with fear as I heard Sherrie (My Official Driver and Photographer) shout, “Hold it! Don’t move! That’s It! Got it!” I was sure she’d slain one.

Not that it’s less creepy, but now that I look at them they might be Ocean or Sea Bugs?

It was 10 below when I shot this cross-lane that leads into what I call “The Golden Mile” which is the alley south of Queen West running between Spadina and Bathurst.
The shots in the Slideshow zigzag through the lane.
Although I’m trying to systematically document areas, I can’t help getting excited and becoming creatively scattered.
Sometimes I’m just like an alley cat going for the bits I like best in whatever lane I’m in.
I pushed the colors in the shot below more than I ever have in a pic. It’s an attempt to show how lush the Graffiti Art is in some of Toronto’s core back lanes.

At 445 Chalmers Avenue in Winnipeg there is a very large second-hand store; The Kildonan MCC Thrift Shop.
Two sides of the building have been painted into one mural. I started at the street side of the building and made a Slideshow around into the parking lot. The pretty hippie under my text is the final shot of the sequence.
