Artist(s): Sarah Collard (Collard Creations), Manny Wiebe – This pic blows up, nicely.
Risking sounding insensitive; I respect the mural, however, it is not my fave from 2015. I feel it was politically judged, rather than artistically judged. I have felt this, or sometimes that the art and politics are both a recipe for winning MOY. If that is the criterion, then why did the Nellie McClung Mural not winMOY 2016? I adore the mural that won, but it has nothing on Nellie and her gals getting women the vote.
World-renowned geneticist, environmentalist, and an awesome Canadian, I salute David Suzuki.
For all of my life, David Suzuki has enthralled me with his TV show The Nature of Things
Now in its 55th season, these weekly documentary programs are still informing, chilling and more important than ever.
It’s not a flashy, or pretty mural. It is simply David Suzuki’s head on a wall in an alley. Yet, I was honored to have found this mural on one of my expeditions.
It’s not a wonder that he has a foundation that supports and promotes the environment. Check it out! David Suzuki Foundation
Let me start at the beginning, in the past, as shown below in an olden days Corktown image.

The car above is to the left of the streetcar mural, and part of the mural in its entirety. (Thank you sun for the interesting shadow).

However, as I close in onto the elements within this impressionistic work of Street Art, I don’t care about the shadow, or the heavy traffic whipping by.

It is an alluring piece of art, and perfect to thank Frank for his contributions to Kids’ Month.

In this mural, the child is a local Corktown kid. However, a kid that will steal your heart is found at the Cincinnati Zoo, in Frank’s post On A Special Local Kid.
