Street Art Speaks

I was tingling with joy when I found this exquisite piece.

I couldn’t take enough pics.

Then, at home, when I looked at the pics I’d uploaded I saw

… a message on the alley curb below it.

Did the artist of this face put it there, or was it already there?

It doesn’t matter who put it there. I bring you this message, now.

“87 elephants Found in Botswana – DEAD – 1 of the Last Safe Havens 4 species.”

Many of us know the elephants are in trouble.

Taking pics of faces from different angles, is interesting.

🎶Squirrels in White Satin🎶

It’s news to me! We have White Squirrels in Toronto.

They seem only to be in Trinity Bellwoods Park. Yay! I live very close to the park, and will now be scouting the white squirrel.

I was wondering why an artist had chosen to paint the squirrels white, on this garage door.

They are rare.

One was found dead a couple of years ago, and the white squirrel people went crazy.

I hope I get to see one!

🦄 Cumpleaños de Aquileana 💜

🎂 Happy birthday, dear Aquileana! 🎂

We’ve shared many posts, and all are very special to me.

Other than the opening shot, I’m moving left to right.

I’ve been saving this mural for a special occasion. Wishing you a wonderful birthday, and thanking you for all the spectacular posts we’ve done together is a perfect time.

Of course, I was hoping to find some Scorpio themed street art with a Scorpion in it, but no such luck.

However, this First Nations inspired art is filled with the mystic,

much like Greek Mythology and the Tarot,

… and much like you.

🦄 HAPPY BIRTHDAY,  AQUILEANA 💜

Hallowe’en – 18

NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART: This post is filled with ghouls, gators, gorillas, giant insects & garbage.

Yes, yum, devour humans!

You guys are lightweights! I eat garbage.

Not as much as we do!

Allow me to chop all that garbage up for you!

Did someone mention garbage?

Don’t look at me! I’m full. I just finished mating, and well, he was a tasty fellow!

I’ll burn your garbage, you stupid alley dregs.

I vote we kick Flame Head out of the alley! He burnt my eye last year, and now I have to wear an air conditioner for an eye patch.

What a bunch of idiots. I need to find a new alley!

That was horrific. I need a smoke!

Hallowe’en, phooey! I will take you all on! This alley needs straightening out!

🎂 Sherrie’s Birthday Card 🎂

Happy Birthday to my dear niece Sherrie! Sherrie is very fond of skulls.

Question: How can you tell a girl skull from a boy skull?

Answer: The girl skulls have pigtails!

Question:  What could be sweeter than skulls with flowers? (Answer at the end of post)

All of these skulls are for Sherries Birthday!

Mini-Mural Destroyed in 5 Days

BEFORE

AFTER

I watched the artist paint this mini-mural on a corrugated roll-up door, over a 4 day period.

He was older, not one of the younger artists that I am familiar with.

The butterflies were my faves.

However, I adored all of it.

Flowers, hummingbirds and all round beauty were 1 block away for me to enjoy everyday.

I took pics of it 2 days after it was finished.

4 days after that, I took my niece to see it. It had been destroyed.

Waterford Walls

Once again the streets of Waterford became an art gallery as the Waterford Walls festival brought in another 48 works that transformed the look of the city. I had a few days to catch a glimpse of some artists, and enjoyed the completed work when I returned from my trip.

Youri Cansell, aka Mantra (France), is famous for his nature-themed works, but for this festival he painted an image of street artist. What a thoughtful gift! I hope it has a long life – it is already loved here. You see a gentleman in my picture enjoy mimicking the painted artist. The work is sponsored by Ambassador of France in Ireland.

Here are some links to my previous Waterford Walls posts : 2015, 2016, 2017. Ah, and some more 🙂 Now I will take you around our ‘art gallery’.
