Plant a Tree!

I fell for its simplicity.

The style

The message

The effect

Even in a neighbourhood where street art is uncommon,

I look up every alley.

    1. Agree! It
It’s only on 1 garage door, but it paints the entire alley with calmness and peace.
That makes it powerful, in a way.

        1. Yes!!!

(Will send FM tomorrow. Took pics today. Just want to darken his hair line & and add some shading to his cheek contour.
However, if I mess up, these pics are fine!!)

          1. Meece, I just wrapped up the post and it’s just waiting for your sketch and the video which I have already selected. Emailed it just now. Let me know what you think.

            1. Got it.
              Excellent work Meece!
Anyone who has seen the drawing is giving rave reviews.
Like I said, I have the pics as is now. I just want to do a couple of things tonight.
SO, even if I do something stupid… and wreck it… I have back up!
You will have it tomorrow, 100%!.
              I’m quite excited! Eeeeeee

and I am sooo behind blogging. Thing is; I do so many things NOT at a computer, and my phone gets in the way. Anyway, I have everything turned off when I take pics. I need to focus.
And today… I was in an art gallery all day.
                      xoxoxo

  1. This is wonderful and yes, so beautiful in it’s simplicity with perfectly clear message. So glad you look down each alley, Sorceress!

    1. Yes & yes.
I’m obsessed with alleys. This one was extremely safe. It’s an old part of the city, but don’t let the alley fool. The homes are old, elegant, very well cared for and $$$$$! ⚡️🌟 xo

  2. A great find Resa, and a greater message as well. Every day really should be Earth Day for all of us, and the simple act of planting a tree is one way to take a stand and help the planet start to heal itself from the damage we’ve done.🌎

    1. YEAH!!! Off to MOCA today. I’m quite excited, and we are allowed to take pedestrian pics (no lights tri-pods, etc)for personal or social media posts, but not for profit.

    1. Yes…or if you don’t have anywhere to plant a tree, plant something. I don’t have a garden, but I have about 50 indoor plants.
      You take care in London!

  3. Sharpest eyes, eh? She has been painted so sentimental and full of hope. It is very alive, and the message gets across. Thank you, dear Resa.🤙💥🌹💕

    1. You’re welcome, Merril!
Yes, lot’s of trees in this area. It’s right beside High Park. It is a nature rich area, with a huge pond, almost a small lake filled with ducks and swans.

    1. Thanks Dave! The last shot is the first thing I saw. lol… I showed it backwards from my experience as I walked towards the art. Then of course I walked away, and that’s when I took the pics. So, I guess it’s not really backwards.
OMG… I’m nutty. I was at the “Museum of Contemporary Art” today. I think my brain has been contemporized, which might be close to tenderized.
      🙂 🙂 🙂

    1. Liz…I’m not so great at nature stuff, but birch was my #1 guess on these trees. It’s a sensational tree, like art.
I like the way art appeals differently to each person.
Was at the Museum of Modern Art today. I thought some of the work was terrific. Other stuff I thought MEH!
Still, it was a delicious feeling to be surrounded by art.

    1. Lauren,
      I agree with you 100%.
Thank you for reminding me! I haven’t hugged a tree since last spring.
I think I’ll hug a few of those poor skinny trees they plant in the cement along the sidewalk.
      I’ll be gentle!
      ❤️🌲🌳🤗🌷xo

  4. To me, simplicity is the most profound way to embrace life, Resa!!! A wonderful photo collection – a call to action to plant a tree. When I viewed your post (for the second time) I recalled the words of Wangari Maathai, “When we plant trees, we plant the seeds of peace and hope.”

Thank you for this post – profoundly simple.

  7. Absolutely love it. Street art can be found anywhere, even in a neighbourhood where it’s not common. The owner says: let’s get the garage painted, and an artist is found. And retributed, which is critical for the survival of both Art and the artist. Thanks for sharing, Resa… 🙏🏻

    1. You are welcome, Brian! It is a wonderful painting, and so simple.
AS always, I am behind blogging. I was over on Art Gowns for days working on a post.
I made an Art Gown dedicated to our friend from Montreal, Dale.

Okay, back here, mopping up and trying to catch up visits. It’s always a pleasure when you come around! HUGS!!!

        1. Yes, Dale! It’s very exciting. It’s a beautiful Art Gown. Her name is “Lilac Fan Dance”.
          So you’re Alice’s rabbit, and I’m a general turtle. 🐰 🐢
I do believe that together we are an Aesop’s Fable.

          1. Lilac fan dance does sound like a good name… I’m sure it will suit the gown.
The turtle and the rabbit… Funny I just donated Aesop’s fables to the French Lycée. (Got a unique Camus very old book in exchange… Yeah!)
Now the two are also the main characters of a paradox by a Greek philosopher that’s always fascinated me. ‘Need to check the name in English. There. Zeno of Elea. NO rabbit, my bad. It’s Achiles and the tortoise. If a tortoise starts ahead of Achiles, the fastest runner, Achiles can never catch up, because in a fraction of time Achiles runs, the tortoise has advanced a bit and so on to infinitum. Clever.
Here’s the link if you’re interested.
            https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeno_of_Elea

            1. Ahh, I just checked out the story. I’m still mulling it over. It makes sort of sense. Whereas the “Arrow”, makes total sense.

I believe, in the sense of being behind in blogging, we are both Achiles!

            1. Dear Resa,

I am delighted that you have found the fable about the Turtle and Rabbit delivered with some new twists in the two videos to be funny and enjoyable to watch.

Happy May to you and Holly!

              Yours sincerely,

              1. Thank you “Eagle”. I’ve just commented on AI. I’ll pass on poetry. I totally suck at poetry, not my line of work I’m afraid…
                Best of luck

                    1. Dear Brian,

In my said reply, the post recommended to you is entitled “👁️ The Purview of SoundEagle🦅 According to ChatGPT 💬 and the Incredulous 🤔 in the Age of God-like Technology 🚀“. The post examines a large number of issues about AI and ChatGPT, and how they affect us as consumers, thinkers, artists, writers, bloggers, publishers and other roles in society.

This post will titillate you considerably even just for the fact that it is very farcical in parts, where I explain in detail, using concrete examples, how some people (including WordPress bloggers) have firmly believed that I am a highly sophisticated machine or advanced chatbot. That story is a very good fodder for keeping you amused. For your convenience, it is available at

Yes, I don’t have a garage either for art. I did however, have a butterfly painted on the side of our home.
