    That is a wonderful out of this world mural. That could just as well be anywhere in NM, especially Roswell. I love the three boobs. I forget which movie had the extraterrestrial with three boobs, but I’m thinking it’s one with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

    1. LOL! Just a typical NM family out for ice-cream.
      The movie was Total Recall with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Even the remake included the 3-breasted woman.
      Although well done, the remake lacked the heart of the original. Also, Arnold Schwarzenegger & Sharon Stone were hard to replace. xx

    1. Right! I kept looking for an ice-cream parlour.
      I even looked it up to make sure it was a boxing gym, and it is.
      TR -I just watched the original and the remake on back to back nights. Interesting comparison.
      The 3 breasts effect was equal in both, but Arnie and Stone were hard to replace.

        Total Recall: I will NEVER forget my BIL’s reaction when we went to the movie theatre. He was PISSED at the end. I never re-watched the damn thing, nor the remake!

          Yeah.. the ending of both are a bit meh.. but I love Arnie!
          Also, all in all pretty good entertainment.

  6. This is totally cool! What a wild imagination this artist has! This wild piece of art is in gorgeous color and I imagine this is just how our planetary neighbors look. I too immediately though of Total Recall. This is fabulous Meece ! 👽

    1. Yes, it is a wild piece of art. It did take time for me to go close up to it and say…YEAH!
      Now, I think it’s fabulous.
      I just watched Total Recall, again. Then the next night I watched the remake, which I never saw before.
      Both are good, but the second one lacks the heart the first one has. Plus… Arnie is hard to replace. He is unique. If he could run for president, I bet he’d win and break the trump spell.
      Also, I missed how nasty Sharon Stone was. Kate Beckinsale was good, but again Stone was tough to replace.

      1. I haven’t seen the remake but seen the original sooo many times. I think Arnie might be able to penetrate the pathetic brains of the MAGA cultists… imagine allowing an insurrectionist on the ballot but not Arnie. I’m wishing I was a Meece alien right now. 😂loved this wall art!

    Yep, Total Recall! Great idea that aliens are occupied with human stuff!

      The connection between boxing, aliens, the 3breasted woman in Total Recall and Schwarzenegger is strong!

    1. 3D?… now that I look at it again, yes, you are right, it does have a 3D effect.
      It’s only a few blocks away, so I’ll get to see it lots.
      I’m so excited. It’s going to be above 0 next Wednesday. I’m dying to go for a decent walk. (provided there’s no ice on the walks or alleys)

    We were laughing just now talking about Total Recall, and how Dale can never watch that movie again. I was sketchy in my recollection of it but was able to piece it together.

    1. It’s not Arnie’s best, but it’s quite cool. The art direction on the remake is totally different. I like it, but it seems like they used inspiration from the original “Blade Runner”, then tried to top it. Meh!
      Hey, if you’re talking to Thunder, tell her the gown is at least 70%!

  18. Hi Resa, I just love these images that trick the eye so you can’t tell where the murals starts and the sidewalk ends! This one almost makes me feel like I’m in the Rowdy Roddy Piper movie “They Live” where aliens disguised themselves as humans and can only be seen in their true from by looking at them through special sunglasses. (Roddy Piper was a former WWF/WWE professional wrestler turned actor)

      Ahh, I just watched “They Live” (again) a couple of weeks ago. I love it!
      I worked with Roddy on one of my first films. “Back in Action” 1994. He co-starred with Billy Blanks.

      1. Hi there, yes I recalled we discussed “Back In Action” and talked about Roddy (and Billy Blanks the martial artist and Tae Bo fitness guru). Just seeing those alien citizens walking around the shop was just too similar to They Live. I’ll check out Back In Action too when I have a spare minute or two. Thanks as always for the chat.

  25. When I first saw the title, I scratched my head …. then when I saw the opening pic, I laughed. Reminds me of the Twilight Zone (or was it Outer Limits) episode about the people with fish heads. This is a wonderful parody on we humans. 🙂 Cheers! … it’s noon somewhere. Clink!

  35. I do like it. Looks like a typical little corner ice cream shop. Teen death scrolling on the phone, preteen on a hover-skate-board, woman walking a pet and… Hmmm, not sure about the guy’s goatee, makes him look pretty intense… lol, it is imaginative and very well done.

  37. I hate to repeat myself, but how did I miss this? Regardless, I’m so glad I checked the “previous post” button today. I adore this colorful, whimsical mural, Resa. I’m pos-i-lutely giddy about it! I would have stood staring at it for so long that the police would have taken me away for loitering. Hugs.

  38. A total hide for the boxing gym. LOL I would have entered and looked for ice cream. The details of the mural are fabulous. Yes, like others have said, NM would be the perfect location for this one. But, it stands out here. It would have been just another alien mural in NM. The artist has a very creative mind.
