Mushrooms?

A cute find from Graffiti Alley.

I love it when faces are an alternative colour.

Are the mushrooms growing out of her head, or are they part of the headdress?

Is it something to do with magic mushrooms and mind expansion?

Flowers in her hair. Flowers everywhere. Fungus among us. What do we care? Because! We love the blue flower girl.

  1. Hi Resa, Another great find through your efforts foraging! I think the mushrooms might be part of the headdress too, unless she slept in a forest somewhere.
All I can say is the person who painted this must’ve been a fungi (<fun guy 🤣)
    Thanks for sharing again.

    1. Agree! It was fun to find, and I adore the blue face. It’s been a good art season so far. I found the dog mural to end all dog murals yesterday.
      Now, where’s the cat mural?

            1. Ha! The cat comes out ahead, yet again!
I guess the cat kept sneaking back in line when lives were being handed out.
Dog grabbed one, and buried it. 🤓

      1. I didn’t see that comment – pretty clever. I was going to say something stupid about if she washed her hair more often she might not have that fungus issue…

  2. Queen Blue of the Planet Owsley has come to earth and is spreading the word on city buildings across the world. All she asks is that we choose peace and compassion and in return, she will gift us enlightenment.

    1. I thought Geisha, too.
      I’m fascinated by the make-up.
Once I finish the Gala, I might try drawing RR in Geisha make-up.
I’ve got to get back to the adventures of PBH & the AGMs! xoxoxo

  3. So beautiful. the colors are wonderful, deep and vibrant. Hard to believe the mushrooms are part of the headdress. They probably stand for magic mushrooms, mystical dreams and thoughts, of which she is the Queen. It’s great.

    1. I agree! I like the magic brain power idea.
Also, magic mushrooms are huge in Toronto right now. I see ads for magic mushroom chocolate bars every where I go.

Holly mentioned a Geisha look. I’m fascinated by the make-up. Once I get caught up (😵‍💫) here, I’d like to try drawing Geisha make-up on the AGMs. xx

  4. I’m with the magic mushrooms and mind expansion version! Goes with her expression!
    Beautiful find, dahling!
    ❤️😘❤️😘❤️😘❤️😘

    1. I like mind expansion, too!
Love her face. Holly says Geisha like. I might try drawing AGMs in Geisha make-up!

        1. Love and hugs and Heras! 😘🐾🧽😘🐾🧽😘🐾🧽😘🐾🧽😘🐾🧽😘🐾🧽
I did find a video on how to do Geisha make-up!

    1. She is beautiful…..bluetiful!
No, not part of the tribute. Graffiti alley is a mile of continuous art and graffiti.
It all bumps into each other.
I actually did a post with a wall painting of Tone (mentioned in the tribute) that I found after the first lock down.
It was in a different alley, and I hadn’t realized it was tribute art at the time.

    1. Yes, mushrooms tend to have that effect! 😉🤗
Greetings and have a blast in Greece, from your friend in Canada! 🖖🌹❤️

  5. I’m always delighted when I see your posts Resa. You do such great work with the subject matter, the photography, and the writing. Hope all is well.

    1. Lauren!
I am so addicted to finding street art. I’m thrilled you come to see what the artists are up to.
SO! I found a dog mural, the most amazing dog mural.
There are 7 dogs, all different breeds in it.
I need to see a pic of Copper again.
Whatever, whether he looks like one of the paintings, or not….the word “Copper?” appears in the mural. Is it a dog? An artist?
I don’t know, but it made me think of your poem “Copper Boy”.
I’d like to use the poem when I post the mural, if I may?
It won’t be right away, as I have my next 6-7 posts on the go.
However… I’d love to use it when I do!
      xo💙🩷💚xo

      1. You always find such amazing art, Resa, and every time I see murals, I think of you! Of course, you can use my poem, and I’ll email you a photo of Copper. He’s part chocolate lab and we think Vizsla. Thanks for thinking of Copper Boy! Hugs ❤️🐶🐕🐾

    1. LOL!! They could be growing out of her skull, in a figurative way. Say if she ate magic mushrooms, it could be the brain power mushrooms create.
Mushrooms are huge in Toronto. I didn’t know they were legal, but I can buy magic mushroom chocolate bars everywhere. Not that I plan to! xo
