Two Women on a Wall – A Tapestry

The day was a washout. I’d been all the way to Kensington Market, and only captured a raccoon …… on my camera.

Almost home, I espied an “Anser” bit on a garage door, so got off the streetcar. I walked down a lane off that alley, then turned into another alley and Voilà!

What luck!

As fortune wold have it, there was a clean shiny black car parked there.

Because of the brick, the reflection of the painting took on a “Tapestry” look.

    1. It seems the more off the beaten path, the more interesting the art. I’m thrilled to have this work in my collection, Merril.

  1. Such an interesting mural! It took me some time to sort out the limbs! I love the yellow blotch and the plasticity of the figures. Excellent find, dahling! ❤️😘😘😘😘😘❤️

    1. It was truly a “find”. It’s in the alleys, where few people go that I find the best art. It’s where artists paint what they want, 100%.
      💖😘😘💖💖😘😘💖💖😘😘💖

      1. That makes it even more precious!
        💗🌷💗
…and there’s someone next to me who wishes to send something:

    1. Thanks Beth! …. but the heat… the sheer heat of the fireball as I went in for the shots.
There was no time to go home and grab my asbestos street art work wear. I’m lucky to be alive! 🤕 😶‍🌫️

    1. It’s a neat mural, and the car being black, clean and shiny made my day. Lol, I was just as excited to see the car, as I was to see the mural.
The worst…. a dirty white car.

    1. Ness Lee has a unique style, and always seems to do these Rubenesque women. The reflections are great. Thank goodness the car was clean. It makes a huge difference.
      Thanks Tim! xx

    1. I adore the Rubenesque women. Hooray for clean cars, preferably black. Mid tone metallic grey can produce neat results.
      Other colours……. meh. 🫤

    1. I like yellow, too. It’s not a fave of mine, but holds a special place.
The brick helped make the fab tapestry like reflections.
      Welcome back!

    1. It is unique. I was head over heals to find it…AND with a clean black car there!
I’d hang it on my wall, too!
      x🐭🐭o
Meece, I sent an SC catch up email. The band jammed last night. A Boogapony came out of me.

  2. Hooray! At last a car parked in the right (wrong) place actually helped you! I really like these pics and mural (I’m reminded of the star sign Gemini because of the possible twins connection).
And I think you may be Force Sensitive, you seemed to “sense” that this mural was in the alley rather than seeing it there. Now go have a nice (well earned) iced cup of tea or coffee!

    1. I know! Sometimes a clean dark car in the right spot can pay off!
Gemini is a perfect thought, Tyeth.
I find a lot of art through “Force Sensitivity”.
I am having a hot coffee.
      Can’t help it!

      1. Hmm, what would it be about? I think it would be a metafictional kind of thing with two unreliable narrators sitting on a wall telling the story and both getting it wrong.

        1. That sounds cool.
At first I misread… I thought it was – metaLfictional.
Something to do with heavy metal or death metal, & getting so stoned, the 2 women got plastered to a wall.
Of course they would need some tattoos.

    1. Okay.. I can see the mandala effect. Cool take.
Yes, the reflections were luck. Usually the cars are filthy, so no reflections. Lol!

  3. Another spectacular find Res. And the black shiny car was a beauty bonus! The art is so suggestive. I’m getting and Adam and Eve -ish, creation vibe from it, lol. Hugs xoxo 🙂

    1. Adam and Eve -ish…. Interesting. Someone else got the beginning of time.
It does feel something like that.
I was so enthralled by the fact that the car was clean, I got a bit side tracked from any art message. Hugs xoxo 🙂🙂
