In 1788 Robert Burns sent the poem ‘Auld Lang Syne’ to the Scots Musical Museum, indicating that it was an ancient song but that he’d been the first to record it on paper. Read the original & modern lyrics!

  1. How interesting. I had one of the words wrong for my entire life. The artwork is wonderful. I love his expression, eyes closed, feeling the music. Just the way it would be if he was playing live. Great street art.

    1. Happy New Year GiGi! 🌈 🎵 Lol! It’s amazing how many words I’ve had wrong in lots of songs! 🎶 I saved this mural for New Years. It’s so fun, and I can hear the music. 🐣🌺

    1. Rebecca!
Thank you for all your visits to both of my blogs! As long as there is art in the streets, and I can still hold a needle and thread, I will post! The new Art Gown has begun. Although she will take at least 2 months to make, I am very excited about her.
HAPPY NEW YEAR, Rebecca!!!! Many hugs, love and peace! Oh what the heck…Unicorns & rainbows, too! 😀 xoxo

    1. HIC! Okay, I made it over from my last post! 🍷🍷🍷 That’s all of the glasses I could carry, so I drank the rest over there! Hic! HAPPY NEW YEAR, dear Ralph!!! xoxoxo And Happy New Year to dear Natascha! I will write early in 2018, as I’m very busy (sleeping the nights off) 😀 OKay, you caught me, I’ve been doing my taxes. Will the cats get a special treat tonight? xoxo 🌈🦄⭐️🌹💋

  2. Very nice graffiti … feeling the music.

Thank you for your heartfelt comments this year that have given me a lot of mental support 🙂

Cheers to the New Year, which will hopefully be full of good luck and brightness and happiness. Happy New Year, dear Resa!
    Julia ❤

  3. Happy New Year to you, Dear Resa… ❤
What a great find; but then; this is expected from one such as you! If there's a jewel to be found our Resa will find it, for sure…
Sending love and good cheer for a very 'merry' roll-over to 2018! 🙂

Thank you for the excellent connection you make here between mural art, music and folk poetry. There are definitely deep connections between these art forms.
I’m looking forward to following your explorations this new year.

Happy New Year, Resa! Cool, thanks for the Auld Lang Syne link. I like to sing my own version of it, which goes “Should older greyhounds be forgot” because I love greyhounds, but it annoys my boyfriend a great deal. 🙂

    1. Hahahappy New Year, Carolee! Boyfriends can get irritated about many things, especially if those things aren’t sexy!
OLS…It is a fab link, and I am glad at least one person checked it out!
Boyfriends…. If they love you, they will still love you, even when you are an old greyhound. You will love them too, even if they snore louder than the train rumbling by.
😀 Okay… I’m heading off to do some train spotting! 😀

      1. Carolee Croft

Lol True about boyfriends, they still love me despite all my singing. Trainspotting! I hope not like in the film. Which reminds me, I’ve actually got a new hobby hunting for street art, all thanks to your blog. xoxo
