The Yamaha Center on Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. Painted in 2004, it is a magic mural!

I was in Winnipeg end of the year in 2012, and shot 127 murals. I am headed back for another visit, and will shoot more murals. I’ve only posted 64 of the original 127, but hey, it’s nice to have extras!

Best I could do on a long shot with a pedestrian camera, and 8 lanes of vicious Winnipeg traffic between the Mural and I.

Looks very impressive, especially because this mural is so large! Subject and colors are beautiful, too!
Thank you for weighing in! I agree with all you said.
Two of the beauties of outdoor art is that artists can be freed by very large canvases/walls….and you can touch it!
Amazing!
I’m awed by this mural as well. Charlie Johnson has a wonderful talent for outdoor painting.
Impressive… 🙂
🙂 Totally agree! 🙂
That is way cool 😀
😀 I love Charlie Johnson’s work! 😉
Another beautiful and now becoming well known aspect of Winnipeg, thanks to you! Beautiful work, I like that one very much.
It is a great mural! 🙂 Thank you so much for saying that I am helping the murals to become a well-known aspect of Winnipeg!
I suppose the “Guess Who” can’t take all the aspect credit! 😉
Who? oh yeah! I guess it is another well known aspect….:), apparently too,Neil Young live there when he was young, and also a future well known painter, well known by at least a few dozens of peoples, live there for a few years…3 well known aspects of Winnipeg…:D
Actually, I’m surprised I have found no Niel Young murals there!
Perhaps that painter should return and do a mural! 😉 😉
listen to the murals…..hey hey na na hey …He did wrote more meaningful words, but always so good to hear….May be I should go back to Winnipeg but…I wouln’t know how to paint a mural, but maybe I should make a painting of him, of course I not sure I could draw or paint a man…:)…should try…..I would prefer Joni Mitchell, but she’s from some small town in Saskatchewan, hope I wrote it wright…well anyway it is the Praieries and two wondeful artistis….too late to paint but tomorrow….:)
“lol” Well, my dear, Neil Young wears, or at least has worn boots!
I think for you, a pic of Neil Young moving on stage is the way to go. It’s not about his face, guitar or other details, but the details of his message through performance. 🙂
LOVE LOVE LOVE this one!!!!!
That is because you have fabulous taste! 🙂 Hey, I read one of your reblogs…. and changed my passwords! Thanks, Eunice! 😉
You are very welcome do it every 30 Days it is nuts out there 😦
Wow, this one musta jumped out at you! Nice work!
Thanks! Once I recovered from being jumped out at, I thanked the mural for the Wow!
I’m going to Winnipeg soon.
Is there anything you’d like to see in a mural from the mid-west?
Géniale idée, cette fresque de piano.
Ceci est peint par un artiste de la fresque très inspiré!
Another beauty from my city. Soooo happy you’re back. We’re gonna rock it again! Dusted of my chauffeur’s cap and filled the gas tank.
Beautiful work 😀
I love it! 😀
Very unique, I love it
Ahhh, the minds of musicians and artists! 😉 🙂
Si, si.
Before I viewed this posting I was unaware of how many pieces of graffiti were posted on your site but with the revelation in this post of 64 out of 127 graffiti paintings in Winnipeg alone I now see the enormity of what is to follow and I can’t wait to dive into your excellent choices of postings 🙂
You excel at adding tasteful and
such astonishing pieces of art Resa 🙂

I just love you, because you love this art. ❤
Okay, I have just returned to Toronto from Winnipeg. With Sherrie's help i have gathered another 45 Murals of Winnipeg.
Toronto is rich in Street Art and Murals as well. Interestingly enough, the art is different from city to city.
Did you know Philadelphia has over 3,000 commissioned murals?
Toronto has wonderful murals as well, but is not as developed as Winnipeg.
However, Toronto enjoys the passing parade of illegal graffiti pieces that are often gloriously gorgeous! (Graffiti Lux)
I am not speaking of tag graffiti, although I have a few examples of when it crosses the line into art, in my opinion. 🙂 🙂
I have seen some incredible images of graffiti on other parts of the Internet but I am thoroughly enjoying what you are showing here on your Space. I like many forms of art but graffiti is so alive and refreshing I think 🙂 I know I am going to be enthralled and spoilt for choice here Resa and thank you for adding such beautiful works of art 🙂
Have a lovely weekend my sweet friend 🙂
