Take your protein pills and put your helmet on!
It’s in a very narrow lane, and difficult to photograph.
I kept hearing this song (in my mind), as I shot this.

The Artists:
It never ceases to amaze me that garbage bins are proudly displayed in front of fabulous street art.
It’s enough that the artists must work around poles, pipes and wires.
Another oddity is planting a bank of trees in front. I love trees, they are nature’s art, so why bother with the painting, then?
I expect to see a parking infraction sign on it, soon.
Quite the beauty!

I’ve wanted to shoot this for several years.
Thing is, it’s in Kensington Market on one of the main streets, and a slew of humanity is constantly walking by. The vehicular traffic is also a deterrent.
Today, a winter’s Monday was my opportunity.

It’s…. like… so cool!
There’s little else, no single. It’s the album or this unofficial bit.
I found this segment from the documentary about him quite interesting.

The Artist:
Traffic heavy corner, and the best spot was in the middle of the street.
Middle of the street was a no go, so, I took the first 2 shots & the 6th shot from across the street.
I took these next 3 from the same side of the street.
I thought, it’s black and white, so I put it through a black and white filter for the next pic.

It’s Greta Thunberg, the most famous Gen Z person in the world. In the upper left is the word CURAE. It is Latin for “Take Care”.
Gen Z has a lot to say, and my long time friend, Elizabeth Gracen is providing them a platform to say it all.
Elizabeth, founder of Flapper Films and Flapper Press says in her introduction to the project, “I would create a platform so that they could upload their own videos to the project. The films would stream on Instagram and a YouTube Channel for those little screens they are all obsessed with.”
Is there a Gen Z person in your family, who has something to say? Then check out The website !
You’ll be hearing more about Flapper Press On both GLAM and Art Gowns in the future. My next Art Gown will be dedicated to Elizabeth, and I am very excited!

Martha and The Muffins are a Canadian band.
Their main hit was “Echo Beach”, in the 80’s.
In 2014, Vogue Magazine pronounced Queen Street West the second hippest street in the world.
Martha and the Muffins were part of the cultural evolution that made Queen St. so awesome.
It was music and all of the arts that flourished. Eventually graffiti & Street Art found its way here. I’m so thrilled to live on this street.

It’s amazing what I find painted on power boxes in the streets of Toronto.
Here’s Martha and the Muffins!
