Mural of the year: 2011
There’s an outdoor theater in Winnipeg called Rainbow Stage. The entire exterior is one ginormous mural. Part of the mural is two drama masked beauties that I couldn’t stop photographing.

It was 10 below when I shot this cross-lane that leads into what I call “The Golden Mile” which is the alley south of Queen West running between Spadina and Bathurst.

Although I’m trying to systematically document areas, I can’t help getting excited and becoming creatively scattered.
Sometimes I’m just like an alley cat going for the bits I like best in whatever lane I’m in.
I pushed the colors in the shot below more than I ever have in a pic. It’s an attempt to show how lush the Graffiti Art is in some of Toronto’s core back lanes.

These guitars make the music of love on a side wall of Marschells Music Store on Henderson Hi-way, Winnipeg.
It’s glamorous beyond words, and is painted by Dave Bezillia.
