Gettin’ Down in Chinatown

It was like a Chinese puzzle when I got home and looked at the pics.

The beautiful face above is the centre of a long (about 75′) low-lying mural.

There are 3 faces; 1 at each end and 1 in the centre, with wide runs of abstract art in between.

So I found one of the end faces.

The second one appeared to be missing.

Do photo apps eat photos?

3 sections was the best way I could figure to show amap of the mural.

Kind of a bookends puzzle.

A gentle reminder to please wash your car when parking by art.

    1. Hello TOF!
Are we talking footstools, or an empire?
      Doesn’t matter, we have both.
I find it odd that that word works for both.
Lovin’ my weekend, hope you are yours, too!

  1. What an intriguing mural, dahling! The two end faces seem to be the same, only difference [other than right or left] is the orange and pink ‘brains’! …and yes, there should be a sign next to murals : “only clean cars can park here!”
Love and many hugs and …

    1. Yes, they are the same, with the differences you mentioned.
Also, their hands are switched. I was confused.
That car was so dirty, I couldn’t get a decent reflection.
      Go forthand build…. some more!

      1. It’s a painstaking process with bumps all the way, but… all worth it! 😉

    1. Yeah.. I went to Chinatown to find a dragon. I found one, a Qilin Dragon, and this was my bonus. I was so confused with those 2 almost the same faces.
Puzzling, yes, and puzzles make one’s brains work. 🧩🤔

    1. Thank you! AND.. I found a golden dragon. Well, make that silver.
Point is I went to Chinatown for a Dragon, and found this fab bonus art.
      Love walking in this city!
      MUAH!

  2. I love this one Resa.. and how you pieced it all together.. You last photo showing the beginning of the mural and very apt… Being as this is the Year of the Dragon.. And we then see it unwind all the way down around the wall..
Sending love and blessings Resa.. ❤

    1. Thanks Sue!
Thing is I went to Chinatown looking for dragon art. I found something I had no idea about, a Qilin Dragon. It’s a statue. It’s gorgeous and will be part of my Year of the Dragon post coming up.
This art was a tasty bonus.
Going for a walk in this city is an adventure! ❤❤❤

  3. This is a unique and beautiful wall mural. I love this face and I’m crazy bout the dragon! Oh so fabulous dear Meece! Have a wonderful day and stay warm 🧣

    1. It is unique! I found it while in Chinatown looking for a dragon. I found one!
This was a happy bonus find.
      It’s sunny for 3 days!!!!!!!
Taking pics of the Art Gowns drawings today!

    1. Good thing I glanced up that alley. Keeping eyes peeled is important.
I went nuts figuring out the 2 almost same faces. Sneaky mural.
Lol.. it’s 3 here! Clinking away!

  4. Your photos of this piece of art play out like a drama. You captured a very difficult scene in an interesting and artful way. I loved the comment about an example of clean cars. It is too bad this artist is unknown. Clearly, He/she/them is very talented. Thanks for sharing, Resa. 🐂 🐂 🐂 🐂

    1. John,
I was so confused with the 2 bookend faces when I was making the post. I guess I was so enrapt in taking the pics, that I didn’t remark the fact at the time.
Yes! The clean cars make for ace reflections.
There could have been an artist’s signature behind the big fat tag at one end of the mural!
      🐂 🐂 🐂 🐂

  5. That’s a long one, Resa. I love the faces and expressions. And the reminder to wash our cars if parking beside art. (I guess I need to change my parking spot – lol). Thanks for sharing the beautiful mural.

    1. OMG! This was buried alive.
Okay, so you’re going to wash your car?? Or change your spot? Lol… either way, a winner!

So, I’ve got new drawing paper and an assortment of pens in the colours.
I’ve had only 1 dabble/doodle, just to check colour.
      Soon, I shall be dedicated!

  6. Another colorful beauty, Resa. Thanks for the reminder to never park an I washed vehicle near anything a blogger would want to photograph. Where exactly would that be again? 😛

    1. Thanks Janet!
If your car is clean, please park near the art!
I love reflections of the art, but a dirty car ruins the whole effect.
Actually, if you have a dark car, and it’s all clean and shiny… your desert flowers would make spectacular reflections.
      🤩🤗

    1. Thanks Tim! I was looking for a dragon, and found a Qilin Dragon. This is a fab bonus find.
I can hardly wait to go for another walk! xo

    1. Yes, the Year of the Dragon!
I went to Chinatown looking for a dragon. I found one, and I found this. A good luck day!
Have a great week, Martha! xx

  7. This is beyond beautiful, Sorceress. I love the demure, and almost shy bookend beauties. The centre one (I’m assuming she is in the centre?) looks positively serene. Gorgeous find.

    1. Thunder! Yes, I’m quite happy with this find.
I was actually looking for a dragon, which I found. This mural is a bonus!
Yes…the centre. She’s easy to pick out. The bookends are the confusers.
      xoxoxo

  8. I can’t believe the size of it. It’s wonderful. You managed to capture it perfectly, in spite of it’s size and I love the last picture of the dragon. Great job and I love it.

    1. Yeah, it’s lotsa fun! I actually went to Chinatown to find a dragon. I found a Qilin Dragon statue. This dragon (and mural) was a bonus! xoxo

  9. You did a great job of photographing it, Resa. Something that long… it couldn’t have been an easy task. It’s a beautiful mural. The hats remind me of brains… which is a little creepy, but it’s still gorgeous. Hugs.

    1. Cool, you are not the first to call the hats, brains.
Who knows what the artist is inferring. Still, a joy to find and fun to shoot and share. Hugs!

    1. Not sure what she’s thinking. A few have suggested she’s on her cell phone. 🤭
Hugs back, Lauren! The weekend is coming. Yay! xoxo💞
