I adore the geese. I’ve only close up experiences with Canadian Geese. All geese look like Canadian Geese!
We had a few different breeds of geese when I was growing up white, brown and mottled. It’s only been the last 15 years or so that the Canadian Geese have been coming here in large numbers in the winter, and some have started hanging around all year. The geese we had growing up look different from their Canadian cousins.
I hope the Canadian Geese haven’t displaced their cousins!
I’ve had good experiences with the Canadian Geese. They are very friendly, although can snap with their beaks once in awhile. Doesn’t hurt.
A beautiful garage door and house. I would love to do that to mine but would be afraid of the reaction from the neighbors.

The Canadian geese are taking flight – So creative to put that design on a garage door! Ours is white… But our house is blue so at least it’s not just an off-white… Haha imagine if I put a big orange cat design on the garage door ~ Wonder what the neighbors would say… 😉

What a stunning door and surround! I’d love to have something like this, although it would probably look a bit odd on our rental. However, we have a three-car garage, so we’d have lots of space for flying geese. Fantastic colors on this as well.

I think humans have always envied the freedom we perceive birds have.
It’s an interesting piece to me, as it has the abstract sky and sea, yet the geese are perfect in silhouette.
Okay… just gluing feathers to my arms. I should be dry ready to fly in 2 days. Just remember; not too close to the sun!

This is the third time around for me, Resa! My immediate response was freedom. Freedom of movement within colours and changing terrain into an unknown horizon. The geese showed no fear, only a graceful elegance of motion. You never know what you will find on a garage door.
