That sounds wonderful!
Are any from Iceland? One of my fave artists, Shalak Attack, went to Reykjavík last summer to paint a giant mural. I saw pics, and it is marvelous!
Yes, I agree about the bird. In our First Nations lore, it would be a Thunderbird.
Many of the ancient civilizations in the western hemisphere have art styles and images that are eerily similar. {{hugs}} I found how to spell Athena in Greek letters! It will look awesome graffiti style! ❤
Beautifully symbolic, Resa. I love the way, in some, the artists have captured nature (trees/flowers) with the night sky as the backdrop for the murals. Brilliant colours, too… 🙂
xoxoxo
Yeah! I heard about another of Chief Lady Bird’s murals. Hoping to get there soon. We have a 1 above 0 day on Sunday. Don’t know what I’m going to shoot, but I’m heading out! ❤
It’s -14 right now. GOOD NEWS! Warming up to -4 in the heat of the day tomorrow.
If I don’t get out for a decent walk soon, I’ll implode! Promise! Kidding! 😀 ❤
You are getting a lot of excercise in your search for art beauty. I should go down to Art Basel downtown Miami and get some shotS! Its gorgeous down there too.
There is a lot going on here. I like the sense of history through the eyes of modern street art. Good find, Resa!
I adore this mural. I’ve managed to find out where 2 more of Chief Lady Bird’s pieces are.
BTW … I have some murals on the horizon.
That sounds wonderful!

Awesome! Another great post Resa.
Thank you Dave!
Awesome, my friend… the lady bird looks like a sort of Mayan /Aztec Phoenix Bird, don´t you think?… Hugs across the miles. ❤

I am embarrassed to say that at 50 degrees F I barely stick my nose out the door (that’s 10 C)
Ahh, the joy of a 4 hour walk in 10 C weather! Many a mural. or just simple street art can be found. My sneakers gently weep.
