This 16 year old mural on Henderson Hi-way is on the side wall of Roxy Lanes, a bowling alley.

It’s scarred, peeling & crumbling from the brutal winters. It’s constantly bleaching under the intense prairie sun. I love it.

I took these shots over a year ago. I wonder what it looks like now?

That is cool! This one should be preserved for sure. 🙂
🙂 Well, the weather is very brutal in Winnipeg, and is very hard on the murals. However, Winnipeg is very proud of its murals and spends money on fixing/restoring them. Maybe this one will get restored! 🙂
We can hope so. 🙂
Beautiful. This reminded me of my Grandfather, who did an oil painting similar to this. He made his living painting billboards and signs on buildings, but also did portraits and landscapes. Nice memory, nice post. Thanks!
Your grandfather sounds very interesting. Do you have any of his oil paintings?
Fantastique ! cet un artiste … Bravo
