by: Robbie Cheadle
In Robbie’s words:
"but I have moved on to drawing and painting,
which now dominate my artistic life."
"This book is a celebration of my cake and fondant art phase of life"
And what a fantastic phase it was! Just check out her “Jack Frost” cake above! I was so inspired, I drew the “Jacquie Frost” Art Gown below.
I’m just learning how to do white, so did a rendition of icy-blue white with window frost effect.
Of course there’s more to the book than cakes! There’s recipes and background history of both how fancy desserts and their recipes came to be, with a focus on:
Christmas Cakes
Okay, so that’s another kind of cake, but it is Christmas soon, and I just had to show off Robbie’s Tiered Rainbow Fairies Christmas Cake!
Which leads me to another Art Gown drawing inspired by the above cake; The Rainbow Fairies’ Art Gown.
Robbie says – “The ice cream fairies cake is a very happy one for me.”
Well, I can add more happy!
More! There’s poetry. There’s photos. There’s fondant art. There’s heart.
And there’s Gingerbread!

If there is anything that could be constructed out of gingerbread, Robbie has engineered it.
To the left is her gingerbread Chapel.
To our right, is her gingerbread Windmill.
There are a lot of gingerbread creations in the book, but these two are the inspiration for my Gingerbread Art Gown, below.

Ginger models the Gingerbread Art Gown.
This lovely 100+ page book can set you up nicely for the oncoming holiday season, or any celebration that comes your way.

A wonderful gathering of two famous female artists. You are both unbelievable creative, Resa. A great book also for Christmas matters. Thanks for sharing the information. Best wishes, Michael
Michael,
Thank you for stopping by to check out the post!
Robbie’s book is lovely, enchanting actually.
Be well!
I wish to thank you for the delighting information, Resa! Have yourself a nice time. Best wishes, Michael
Same to you, Michael! 🕊
🩵🦋
Hi Michael, when I saw Resa’s fabulous drawings I also thought it was a fascinating collaboration. Two interpretations on an idea 🌈💝
Well, you started it! 🤗
🤗
🧁🤗
This is a fantastic collaboration. You are both highly professional artists with a unique sense for what is best. Best wishes and enjoy a nice weekend! xx Michael
🥰💚🙏

❦🧁💃🏽
I would love to wear that golden dress, it looks so terrific! And the cakes – yummi – but much too good to eat! 🙂
Have a fine weekend and stay safe, dear Resa!
Ahh, the Gingerbread gown, thank you, Martha!
It would be difficult to eat such lovely creations, but if someone else cut up the cakes, I’d have a piece. I actually like Christmas Cakes a lot, a guilty pleasure.
You have a great weekend, too, Martha! xxx
I took a United Christmas cake to work on Tuesday. I’d cut it into slices. It was very well received. Some of my colleagues have never tasted traditional Christmas cake before as it’s not part of African tradition.
Interesting. I’m glad they had an opportunity to try it.
I love a good Christmas cake.
Me too. I made 9 this year 🩷
Wow!
United was supposed to be home made 🤷♀️
Ahhh! 🧁🎄
it is a beautiful dress design. I’ve always loved pleats ⭐️💛💫
💎🤗
The Jack Frost cake and your Jacquie Frost drawing are just wonderful! The icy-blue colors you use in your art have a really wintery-magical feel about them. I like the way you are inspired to create from others’ creations; what a wonderful cycle of endless imagination and inspiration! The gingerbread windmill and gingerbread gown work beautifully together. What a lovely post! 🎄❄️💜
Thank you, Ada!
Yes, the Jack Frost cake is a stunner. I wish I was better at drawing white, but I’m pleased with how Jacqui Frost came out.
I just love the inspiration I get from the arts of others. Yes, it’s an endless cycle of imagination. It’s a wonderful thing in life.
Thank you, again, Ada! ❄️💃🏽💎🧁xxx
I think the snow gown is gorgeous. It reminds me of The Snow Queen ❄️
❄️💙💎
I also love that icy blue dress. It does look just like I imagine a gown of ice would look. All three gowns are amazing 💃🧡
A gown of ice…. BRRRRRR!!!!
🩵❄️🦋💙
So many gorgeous cakes! So many gorgeous gowns!
I especially love the Jack Frost cake and Jacqui Frost gown. Wintry beauty! 💙
Merril,
Crazy that Robbie baked all the amazing things I see in the book.
Yes, the Jack Frost cake is stunning, very inspiring. Wintry beauty…best observed from indoors. (for me anyway)🕊💙
Me too. South African’s don’t like cold weather.
It was -10c here today, with wind off the lake. I was out in it, and it was no fun.
🥶, our coldest months are June and July, sometimes the early morning temp is -2c but very rarely lower and never in the day time.
That sounds quite pleasant. How hot doe it get in your summers?
About 33c on average
Ahh, that’s livable. Hot, but without humidity it’s livable. Do you get the humidex that turns 33c to 40c.?
No humidity in Johannesburg. It is a very nice climate
Nice!
It is crazy–and I agree about the wintry weather.
Hi Merril, the twin artistic expressions for each idea worked so well. I am quite bowled over by this post.
You’re welcome, Robbie. Resa is so amazing. I was bowled over by the post she did for my book, too!
💙🕊
Yes, Resa’s posts are artworks.
🎨
Yay!
It truly sounds like Jingle Bells, and I can even hear Christmas carols. Beautiful paintings and an incredible book by Robbie! She is right: … there is Heart, a lovely Heart!
Thank you, both. 🥰💖✨💞💥
Thank you to you to, Aladin!
I enjoyed the book, a lot. I might try the Shortbread recipe. I need to buy a HEART cookie cutter
💙🕊🎄🌟🤗!
🧡💛💚
🤗🤙💖
I’m delighted you enjoyed this gorgeous collaborative post. It’s always so exciting to see the art gown designs Resa comes up with.
Love drawing gowns!
I can tell 💗
so much creative beauty here!
Thank you, Beth! 🕊
Thank you, Beth. Aren’t Resa’s cake art gown designs amazing?
💙
Stunning
A magnificent doubling of artistic creativity, Resa and Robbie!
Thanks Dave!
Double, double, toil and art,
Hey! That’s not how it goes. 🤭😹
Ha ha, Resa! 😂 Do you have a MacBook computer or a Macbeth computer? 🤔
Ohh, I wish it was a MacBeth computer!
Unfortunately, it’s a MacBook, and some corporation is getting my $$$.
If it was a MacBeth computer, some old evil guy in a castle 400+ years ago would be cashing in.
That, to me, is preferable. 🤭😉
LOL! 😂 Love it! And here I thought Shakespeare used an iQuill. 🙂
Shh! 🤫 Careful what you say! I think the AI vacuum is nearby sucking up our intelligence.🧐
It’s probably already at work developing the AIQuill.
😂
“Much Ado About Chatbot”!
Yes… much…
😂😹
Leading into “A Midsummer Night’s Mare” just prior to “The Lying in Winter”!
😂
Now, I’m analyzing why I put “Night’s Mare”, instead of “Nightmare”.
I just know there’s a reason! 🤔
🙂
😂🤣
Hi Dave, when I saw Resa’s art gown designs I was astonished at how she took each concept and converted it from a cake to a gorgeous gown.
Resa is brilliant!
… or incapable of doing a normal book review… 🤣
🙂
Your cakes are inspiring, Robbie!
💗
Great story and great art Resa I too am trying to ace white but yours is a nice icy blue as I plowed the last two days I found many spots in out 10″ of fresh snow the were the most gorgeous sections of Cerulean blues hidden in the white. Today I get more bird food and feed my sourdough starter and paint. Have a wonderful weekend. xo
Hi Eunice, I think Resa’s ice gown is perfectly striking. You day sounds lovely 💓
Eunice has a gorgeous country place, and the most adorable handsome dog, ever!
😍
Ahh, cerulean blue.. beautiful.
Yes, the painting of white is interesting. It’s about the shadows, not the colour.
So blue seems cold, and pinky shadows would feel warm. Grey would be more non committal.
You have a wonderful weekend too, Eunice! xo
Loved it! I will try white poinsettias again.
An interesting colour analysis. For me ice and blue go together.
Yes!
Robbie is an absolute treasure! Thank you so much for sharing this, Resa.
Hi Violet, Resa’s art gowns are such a wonderful extension of each art cake. I was thrilled when I saw them
This was a brilliant collaboration!
👗🎂
🧁💃🏽
Yes, she is a treasure!
I have learned a lot about Africa from her. The animals are wonderful, and the history I learned around and about the Boer War from reading “A Ghost and His Gold” is eye opening.
Thanks Violet!
Your writing is terrific, always a treat to read.
🥰
Fun highlight of Robbie’s amazing cake creations Resa. And I love how they inspired your gowns and you love them into a post. You both are amazingly creative and talented. 😍
Hi Brad, Resa did make this post into and extraordinary meeting of minds and collaboration.
🧡
💎🤗
Thanks Brad!
It sure was fun drawing gowns inspired by cakes. One never knows wherein the seeds of inspiration lie.
You say the nicest things. 🕊🌟
My pleasure Resa.
I love how you were inspired to draw gowns to match the lovely cakes.
Wonderful way of promoting a book, tell you what!
Hi Dale, isn’t Resa just amazing. Her art gowns are such a delightful match for the art cakes.
Yes, she is. I love how she merges both of your lovely creativity into these posts! Wonderful collaboration.
xo⚡️💥xo
xox 🧚🏼♀️🪄 oxo
🤗
It’s just that you are so inspiring, Robbie!
We inspire each other 💝
YES! 🌟💥
Cake gowns… I never would have thought I would draw one, but trust Robbie to inspire me.
Thanks about the promo angle, Thunder! If someone likes baking & being creative, THIS is their book!
xoxoxoxoxo
Goes to show how we can be inspired in lots of ways!
I don’t doubt that!

Art inspires art!
Hi Audrey, it really does. Resa’s cake art gowns are spectacular.
So are your cakes!
💞
The cakes are fantastic!
It sure does Audrey!
I’ve become addicted to the arts, all of them.
Wow, wow and wow.
Two so very talented people on one post.
Robbie’s cakes are amazing and your art is incredible Resa!
Best wishes to you both 🙏💙😇
Hi Maggie, Resa’s post is spectacular and I love her cake art gowns. 🩵💜
Hi Robbie.
It is 💙💖
A feast to the eyes 🤗
🧁💙
💖💫
Aww, thank you so much Maggie!
Not sure how one could eat such beautiful cakes, but I guess I could try. 😹
Best to you, too! 💙🕊🤗
My pleasure always Resa.
Exactly , but I might be tempted!
Thank you so much for your good wishes 💫💖🤗
Back at ya! 💙🤗
I loved Robbie’s book and your interpretation of it, Resa 🙂
Hi Denise, thank you for your lovely review of Something Fancy. The pairing of Cake Art and Art gowns is amazing
🧁💃🏽
Thanks Denise!
It’s an easy book to love, especially if one bakes and likes to add that extra creative touch.🌟💎
I loved her book too. Thanks for this, Resa 🥰
Thank you, Esther, and for your lovely post and review.
You’re so welcome, Robbie.
You are welcome, Esther!
It’s a “Sweet” book! 🤗
🍩🍰
❦
The fashions and the cakes go so well together!
Thanks Darlene, I think the pairing of these concepts as different art forms is brilliant.
Creativity breeds creativity!
I agree that it does 💓
💙🕊
Ginger looks like my kind of girl xx
Hi Jo, the art gown designs are brilliantly coordinated with the cakes
Ahh, Ginger!
She sure was fun to draw! xx
Ahhh! What a fancy post indeed!! I LOVE Robbie’s fantastic and yummy-looking Jack Frost cake and the Jacquie Frost is perfect!! It’d make a lavish, fancy Winter wedding!
The Tiered Rainbow Fairies Christmas and Ginger Bread cakes are so much fun!! They’re all too beautiful to eat.
I’m obsessed with your Gingerbread Art Gown, Resa!! Love the rose vines on her arms, so romantic!!
I barely bake anything but it’s fun watching other people bake stuff, ahah. So thanks for this fantabulous and super fancy post, Robbie + Resa!! 🩷 🧡 💛 💚 🩵 💜
Hi Ruth, I was delighted at how Resa captured the spirit of each cake design and recreated it as an art gown.
🧁💃🏽
Lovely, Resa. Congratulations to Robbie
Thank you, John!
❄️X
😊X
Thank you, John 🐶
😊
Robbie’s cake decorations are as gorgeous as your gowns and your gowns are as delicious as her cakes. Lovely creations, Resa and Robbie! 🍰👗
Aww, what a lovely thing to say. Thank you so much Miriam!
Be well! You must be excited with the family holidays approaching. 🎄🌟
I think so too, Miriam. The two sets of art creations complement each other.
🌟
Oh what a happy and deliciously wonderful post honoring Robbie and here Amazing creations! She sure does have her fingers in everything. I’d like a little frosting please to sweeten my day. Love this Resa and your photos are fantabulous as always ❣️
Yes.. she sure has her fingers in everything. I love it. One day I’ll do African animal gown drawings.
I like that idea!
Thanks Cindy! xxoxo
I like that idea too 💚
Yeah!!!! 🌟
Hi Cindy, I love high days and holidays so cake decoration makes sense for me. I never expected to see a cake art inspired gown series. Life is filled with of marvels.
🧁💎
Oh what a special treat!! How special is that!!! Well deserved! 🩷
🌞🌼
Masterful collaboration Ladies! I love the gingerbread dress! Very magical!
The Gingerbread Gown, eh. I’m intrigued by how popular that gown is. I think it is the most personalized.
Thanks Jan!
Hi Jan, the cake art gowns are amazing. I love all three of them 🍰🍩
What fun, cake-inspired art gowns! I’ve heard fancy dresses described as “confections”; these post makes cake confections into gowns!
Hahaha!
Good one Liz.
Thank you so much!
Thanks, Resa! You’re welcome.
Hi Like, I’ve not her the term confections applied to gowns before. What a splendid idea 🍪🍬
LOL!
Think lots of ruffles and frills!
…like cake decorations!
Exactly!
Excellent collaboration. Love the art gowns and the cakes.
Thank you Gi!
Love to you! xxoo
Love to you too!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you 👗🍰
xx
Well done, ladies xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Well done x
Hi Shey, aren’t Resa’s cake art gowns interpretations just amazing. A real meeting of minds.
💃🏽🧁💃🏽
She’s amazing that way.
🌹❦
💚
Thank you dear Shey!
I’m thinking of conscripting all you AGMs for an African Animals inspired Art Gowns post in 2026. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Very welcome xxx
xxx🌹
Sounds incredible 🦍🦧🦏🐘🦓🐆🦒
Haha! I’ve already been thinking about it.
I can’t wait. i love Resa’s drawings.
xoxxx
💛
I was thinking about your comment, Shey. I think that Resa’s drawings of beautiful women in gorgeous gowns taps in to our childhood visions of fairytale romance. They take us back to happy carefree times before reality starts to sand down our idealism and dreams.
Hell, yeah. That gets in the way of many things. You are so right Robbie xxxxxxxx
xxxxxx
But also Robbie, just thinking beyond what you say there, or taking it further rather, she also taps into a character in a book wonderfully and produces them brilliantly. Also she does ones of the Art Gown models and I can’t speak for the others but my daughters both said re one she did of me, that it not only looked like me…okay there’s pics out there..but the gown was exactly the same as one I had in the cupboard hat she’d never seen. So there is a wonderful reality, possibility re what she draws that absolutely takes us to that other time too.
Yes, it’s totally amazing 💞
🎄✨
Yayay!
All closets have gowns in them. We just can’t always see them.
The best bot??? THAT gown is a 30’s original. I won’t reveal how I ‘nicked’ it…..
Ahh, so you are Eternity!
Well……. with regard to certain things,. I was giving it a home. Having looked at the removal chaos re a drama dept being moved to another city, my intelligence said, just put it and these other things back in the car… so I did.
Good for you!
I hope there are other drama departments where you are.
I understand why you would keep it, and other items. I saved many costumes from my time as a costume designer.
xxxxxx
I feared the skip they would probably all end up in……
Yikes!
This is not any of mah heroines speaking when I say that I knew you’d understand. No, what happened was I had borrowed various costumes from the the then drama dept at the then local teacher training college, for a production. But they were in the process of moving their whole operation to Aberdeen and the building was to be another kind of college. Anyway me and mah sound and lights partner in crime guy rocked up to return everything I’d borrowed, literally as the removal vans were emptying the drama dept. So after failing to get hold of anyone responsible for that dept and watching the shambles before us where a lot of stuff was actually being dumped, not in the vans either, I took the executive decision to add the stuff which included this 30s original evening dress, to our company’s costumes and he promised not to tell.
You made the right decision, imo.
I’m happy to hear that the evacuation did not leave your area without a production company.
SO, what is your next project, in that world?
Nah, we are a travelling players company. And our next project –hopefully–will be something totally new and probably totally dementing…… And who know but we may resurrect an old stalwart. it is not that we want to necessarily but members have been asking…..
Interesting. You are right Robbie. My first tagline was “The Art of Glamorous Fantasy”.
🤗🩵
I am looking forward my darling…….OOOH xxxx
What’s your fave African animal? xxxxx
OOOOhh,,, looking over here at a very old set of miniature wooden carved African animals sent by an army mate of my dad’s, who settled in Kenya, this is difficult but prob the lioness cos she is missing….
Okay…lioness… xxxxxxxxx
Yeah… maybe I will find this wooden one again!
Roooooaaarrr!!!
LOL!!!
xxxxx
This is a beautiful collaboration, Resa!!! The way you brought together Robbie’s book, her photographs and your extraordinary art gowns is simply stunning. Each element has its own charm, but in your post they come together as a single creative vision. It feels like storytelling through image, colour and fabric all at once. I love seeing how your artistry meets Robbie’s imagination. You both bring such dedication to your work, and the result is something that lingers long after the last photograph is viewed. It is a joy to witness.
Hi Rebecca, you always manage to express yourself in the most clear and inspiring way this is a perfect description of this meeting of two artistic ideas into one collaboration.
Yes, Rebecca has a way with words, and more, a passion to communicate.
Beautifully expressed, Resa 🌻🌞
🌹🌻🌞
🎨🎨🎨
🎄🎄🎄
Oh Goody!
I’m thrilled you see it that way, Rebecca. Robbies cakes inspired me. I don’t write poetry, so I drew gowns.
Joy…YAY!!!!!!
I must say my new Art Gown is proving the biggest challenge, yet. Now I need wire!?!?
Anyway, yours is on deck and will be much more fun…in a way.
Thank you so much for being here, and being you! Hugs.
Wire – wow! Mind you, I use wire for some of my fondant art too. And toothpicks 🤩
Toothpicks! 🤭🤗
I was dreading going to the place where I would find the largest variety of wire. I need to feel the strength & flexibility.
However, I found one close by that just opened. Still, I might not be able to get there now before Christmas.
💓
I love how you create collaborations. Such a joy to stop by!🤗🤗🤗
I’ll be by you later! 🎄𝓧
You two should collaborate on a project. Wouldn’t that be a kick? I just left a review on Robbie’s book last night. I know it was posted to Goodreads, but I don’t think it’s up on Amazon yet.
Hi Pete, perhaps you are in for a collaboration surprise later in December 😉. Thank you so much for reviewing this book. I will go over and read your review now 🤩🙏
😉
Hi Pete!
My imagination got carried away, and I saw a woman in one of my beautiful gowns, popping out of a gorgeous giant cake that Robbie designed.
A lot of gown
A lot of cake
Sew and bake
What a fabulous idea and line 🌞💛
❦🧁💃🏽
Resa and Robbie this is so utterly charming. I’ve always been enchanted by Robbie’s fondants, and I adore your sketches. Having them both together is a treat. Best wishes to Robbie on this new series — I see that it says Book-1. Hugs all around. 🤗
Hi Teagan, it is wonderful to see Resa’s art gowns inspired by my art cakes. A delightful collaboration. It was the same when you wrote the sugar vampires story. Such a wonderful merging of ideas and talents.
Yes!
Thank you, Teagan!
Yes, I see that – Book I, as well!
The fondants… you can eat those too! Cake and candy… I would think all kids would want Robbie to be their mom.
BIG HUGS!
Hi Resa and Robbie, as soon as I saw the cakes and fondant art I just thought of Capodimonte porcelain sculptures and the art gowns are just as exquisite! Thanks to both of you for sharing.
Thank you. Resa’s art gowns are exquisite.
Hello Tyeth,
Thank you!
I had to look up “Capodimonte”. Yes, beautiful, thank you very much for the compliment!
Best!
Pingback: Something Fancy – Robbie's inspiration
It’s great to see such talented artwork!
Thank you!!!
😍
Thank you, Tim. Resa’s cake art gowns are a delight 💜
I would wear any and all of these!! Simply enchanting!
Aww, thank you Annette!
Me too, Annette. These gowns are magnificent 💃🍩
All three gowns are delightful, this is such a sweet and chic idea, Resa… charming, how Robbie’s fondant and cake art ideas somehow underwent metamorphosis, being turned into such stylish garments! 😊 💕
Ha!
Thanks Nicole! Thing is, I turn many things into gowns.
I do love the Art Gowns Robbie’s cakes inspired, a lot!
I’m gown mad! 💃🏽😵💫
😀😊 “…gown mad!” so lovely and witty, love it! 💖 And please, “keep up the gown work”, Resa! By all means! As you so amazingly did… with Robbie’s sweet recipes! 😍🥰
Lol!
Thank you, Nicole! I’ll keep it gowning!
❦🧁💃🏽🎨
👗nothing wrong with being gown mad 🩵
xo💃🏽xo
Hi Nicole, I know, these gowns are really incredible. Resa is an inspiration.
Run with Robbie!
(Type O)
Suppose to be “Fun with Robbie”… but they both work.
That’s a great collaboration indeed, and your cakes inspired lovely dress ideas.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks Pete!
I live thousands of miles from Robbie, so I don’t get to eat her cakes. I’ve settled for drawing them as gowns.
Best back to you, Pete!
🌝🍰🫖
xx
Hi Pete, Resa’s gowns are remarkable. This post is so inspiring 👗🎂
You make me happy, Robbie!
🤗🩷
Fantastic post, Resa. You and Robbie are so talented. I love your gowns and I love her special creations and artwork.
Thank you, Tim!xx
Robbie is inspiring, with her cakes, and the animals, her drawings.
Like you, the nature around her is inspiring…. for a hard core city gal.
I don’t think of you as being a city girl, Resa. You are such a nature lover.
That is true, Robbie. I do love nature. I’m just happily stuck in a city, a city with art in the alleys and great art galleries.
LOL, I take food for the animals in the alleys.
They are not a fancy bunch: pigeons, rodents, raccoons, birds, squirrels. I love them all!
I like cities for the same reason. I love animals but I would live in the bush.
hugs!
Thank you, Tim. Resa’s art gowns are so special.
Nice, Robbie. I know I already told you about the Halloween and Holiday Baking Championship programs. Another on Netflix that you might find fun and inspiring is called Is It Cake?
Hi Andrew, thank you for recommending these programmes. It have watched Cake Boss a few times and it’s terrific. I like the gingerbread holiday bake offs best though so these are great suggestions.
You’re welcome. The first two, I should clarify, aren’t on Netflix but air on Food Network. Sorry if that was confusing.
No worries, Andrew. Thanks for clarifying.
You’re welcome.
Oooo! I bet you’d win!
Resa, I love the artwork to accompany Robbie’s amazing gingerbread/cake art. You both are so talented. 💗
Thank you, Colleen. Resa’s cake art gowns are magnificent. This is a truly delightful collaboration.
🧁💃🏽
I agree and enjoyed the art and your sweet confections!
👗🍰
Resa, this is something of a fantastic blog post! Your gowns are beautiful and amazing and I loved Robbie’s book. It’s a delightful read for the holidays. Her baking artwork is incredible. I plan to choose a recipe to make and include in my review. Congrats to Robbie for being featured, and thanks for this gorgeous collaboration of two talented artists! 💖🌷💫🎉
Hi Lauren, I use the recipes in Something Fancy all the time. I made a gingerbread Christmas tree and bird viewing hide from gingerbread today with my sons, nieces and nephews. It was a fabulous day.
Sounds fab!!!
You’re right, Lauren, it’s a delightful book. And how terrific to hear you’ll be trying a recipe.
I want to try the shortbread, but with my sickie at home here, I have to see if it can work with rice flour.
I tried a rice flour pie crust yesterday, and the first thing I thought was….this could work in shortbread.
Thank you for this lovely comment, Lauren!
xoxox🧁💃🏽🎨
I love the gingerbread dress! And the ice cream cake is truly a delight. Thanks, Resa!
Thank you. Resa’s gowns are all gorgeous 🌼
A delightful collaboration
Thank you, Derrick. Resa’s drawings are splendid ⭐️💫🌟
🧁💃🏽🎨
Thank you, Derrick! Robbie inspires me greatly!
🥰
A fabulous idea!
Thank you, Dawn!
What a fabulous collaboration! Congratulations Robbie on the new book. Your cake sculpting has always left me drooling with delight. Go girl! And Resa, what lovely echoes of Robbie’s cakes! I particularly liked the Gingerbread creation. Cheers!
Thank you, Meeka!
Ahh, the Gingerbread gown is quite popular.
Well, it’s a delicious book, if a book can be called delicious.
Cheers! 🧁
-grin- of course a book can be delicious, especially if it’s one of Robbie’s. 😀
Hi Meeks, thank you, I’m delighted you like my art cakes. The gingerbread gown is a favourite. I like the ice gown best. I love the blue and white tones.
❦🌹✨
There’s something I have to ask you…have you ever considered sculpting in other mediums? Your characters are so unique and so cute, I’m sure people would love to pop ceramic ones on their shelves! The glazing would be tricky but I could really see you as a sculptor in clay.
This is wonderful!
Thanks Jennie!
You’re welcome!
Hi Jennie, Resa created amazing cake art gowns. She’s incredible 💃🍰
xx
Yes she is!
xxx
This is such a beautiful combined work. Everything is lovely and amazing.
Thank you, Dan! Much appreciated!
Okay, first, Omg, almost 300 comments here. 😁 Fantastic presentation to feature Robbie’s beautiful book. The gowns were delicious too! But that tiered fairy cake – takes the cake! Resa has the most creative reviews! 💜😍🌺❌⭕💚
Yay Debby! You are the first to pick the Tiered Fairy Cake. It is high end adorable gorgeous… for lack of better words.
Thank you! I sure have fun doing these reviews.
xx🌺❌⭕🌺oo
I love it!!! xoxoxo 💜💜
xoxo💖💖
Debby loves vibes and glamorous clothes so I’m not surprised she likes that set best. That cake was the most time consuming to make, Debby and I love the ice cream rainbow fairies 🍰🧚
Lol… I love them too! ✨🕊🎄
Hi Debby, isn’t this the most delightful post, Resa’s cake art gowns are gorgeous 🍩🍪🎂
Thank you to both of you! I’m actually looking forward to reviewing Debby’s latest book early in the New Year. xxxx
I look forward to your review. I’ve also got Debby’s book waiting for me 💞

Resa is amazing. And she did a great job of featuring your talents too Robbie 😁🥰💚
❦🌹
She did. She is a generous soul 💛
I agree xx

🕊✨
Two great artists coming together. Compliments to both.
Thank you, dahling!

OMG, I saw the best art at the AGO today (Jesse Mockrin) and saw 3 new murals on the way there.
I’ll have to go back for the murals. We are below freezing now, but that doesn’t stop me. I make a plan!
Look forward to it…
🤗
🥶
I’m exhausted from the extreme cold we have already gotten this winter. Now I know why bears hibernate!
Yes, all the signs were there that this winter would be a cold one
Sigh!
Thank you, Brian. Collaborating with Resa is like going to a feast.
❦
Dear Resa and Robbie, I hope you’ll forgive my picking up the rear end here in this gorgeous post of cakes and gowns. It’s absolutely beautiful and Robbie … there anything you can’t do. I’m guessing no!
thank you lovelies , i thoroughly enjoyed this beauty.
xoxoxoxo
You are welcome dear Holly, and thank you for this lovely comment!
xoxoxoxo
