Blueberry Beauty

I found this on the side of a Gelateria.

I think the blue beads are not beads, but rather blueberries.

How refreshing is lemon gelato, in the summer?

Adore this face, big time!

  1. Hi Resa. Oh, but she is exquisite. Can see why you adore her face big time. Plus, lemons! And those blues… aquamarine, turquoise. Blue is never sad for me when there are so many shades. Spring is in the air?
Nice find, thanks as always for sharing x😍x

    1. I love looking at blue, although I don’t wear blue… except for dark navy, occasionally.
The day I found this was a hot soup day. I’ll try their gelato in the summer!

    1. Thank you dear Meece!
It’s so great that the name of the place isn’t in the mural. It’s just fab art on a store.
      xo🐭🐭ox

    1. Thank you, John! It was so thrilling to find this on a winter’s walk. I never know what Ill find when I go for a walk.
      I found a tiger yesterday.
      OX OX OX OX

    1. Yeah… and in winter to boot. Of course I was a bit in shades of blue myself, walking for a couple of hours in the cold.
It was like a theme that day!

    1. Agree!
I don’t know if they had blueberry. I didn’t go in. It was so cold, and I had been walking in the cold for a couple of hours.
I’ll be back in warmer weather and find out!

  2. You find the best art!! I agree with you about the face. Alas, our favorite gelato shop was killed by the pandemic. We would drive the whole width of the state to get it.

    1. The street art inspires me to walk for hours (weather permitting)
Too bad about your gelato shop. Alas, the pandemic ruined many things. Life is changed forever! ❦❦

        1. Liz, I am a total Covid Coward.
I have 6 shots. I wear a mask everywhere I go, even to takeout the garbage.
Thing is, there are not many people, if any, in the alleys, where I find most of the art.
If I do find one on the street, the people are moving, I shoot fast and get out of there.

I order groceries. I make 1 trip to the Drug Mart a month, and I go during down time.

On another note, I read “Henrietta’s Saving Grace”. It’s an excellent write, albeit a sad story. I’m glad I read it.
If I remember correctly, it’s a true story?
          Best!

          1. I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one. I’ve been feeling like some kind of freak.

Thank you for reading “Henrietta’s Saving Grace.” I’m glad you enjoyed it (although “enjoy” may not be the right word in this story’s instance). A few basic details (alcoholic, practical nurse, once married to a bigamist, brought home drunk by the police) are true. Everything else is made up or researched.

            1. Then we are both freaks. Actually… honestly everyone else look like losers to me.
A 55 yr. old working acquaintance of mine died from Covid about 6 weeks ago.

Cool! It’s an excellent write, Liz!

    1. The colours are wonderful.
No, I was too, cold. I’d been walking in snow for a couple of hours. I was more in the mood for hot soup. Ha!
      I’ll be back!

    1. Yes!
Now, it is dark here, as usual. They say we will get a tad of sun tomorrow.
I’m okay though. You bring the sun here!
      MUAH!

    1. Love blue faces in street art. We drove by one last week. I’m itching to go there. Next Tues. or Wed. might be the day! xoxoxo

    1. The blues are gorgeous. I never wear blue, but I sure love looking at it.
I finished John’s book. Yay! Working on the review now. “Lion’s Scream” is the next one I read & review.
      Have a fab week!

  3. This is an exceptional mural Resa. There emotional nuances that come through this portrait. I feel a sense of calmness and harmony because of the colour choices. I read that blue is known to lower heart rate and blood pressure, while turquoise has been shown to have calming effects on the mind and body. Both colors are often associated with feelings of tranquility and relaxation. P.S. I agree that the blue beads are blueberries.

  4. Amid all the individual and whimsical murals you’ve found, Resa, this one is particularly unique. The artwork is simply beautiful. I love the combination of vivid colors, the innocence of her face… And all of it has, for me, a slightly sinister undertone. Do you think so, or is it just me? Thanks for sharing this with us. Hugs.
